Woah, the Target B2G1 is better than the Barnes and Noble or Criterion sales, just got Solaris, Walker, and Throw Down for $56.39!

Yes, you can definitely get some great deals. Amazon's matched the sale, and has some prices lower than Target as well, and some with coupons to clip. Modern Times, and Time Bandits are $16.33 after coupon for instance.

Interesting tweet from Janus:

Maybe they're hinting at something here...

What a strange post. Not sure why they would even post that unless they are going to release the film(s) at some point. Hopefully they do release a boxset.

It looks like the Lionsgate blu of the first film has been OOP for a while now. I'm also certain that the trilogy is with Media Asia now and we know Criterion/Janus have a deal with them, so it's entirely possible that they have licensed the new 4K restorations from them.

Well I guess we'll see what happens. I love the series. The third film isn't the greatest, but man those first two are up there. I would guess they would do a theatrical run first for these. Lets see what happens.

On that note, I hope The Heroic Trio is announced tomorrow.

When a Woman Ascends the Stairs (Upgrade)

Anything by Kurosowa, Mizoguchi or Ozu.

Something from Central Europe. More František Vláčil would be nice.

I say this like every month lol but I hope we finally get a blu-ray upgrade of Godard's Contempt.

After Hours and Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore wouldn't hurt, either. I can't believe that After Hours is still only available on DVD. It's been 18 years, way past due for an HD upgrade.

Really hoping Infernal Affairs 4K is really coming. Weird posts that Janus does every now and then like how they posted the paper telling projectionists on how to project Dick Tracy (I really hope Criterion can release this in 4K, but it's owned by Disney I think).

I just hope they make the announcements today and that they're better than last month's announcements, LOL.

I'll leave it at that, this time.

I hope that they announce lesser-known titles again this month. Mainly just to see this place have a meltdown again.

I hope they take the decision out of my hands whether to buy the UK release of Le Trou by announcing it today.
