The question is, how do you find "¼", "¾", "⅔", "⅗", and "⅓"?

There are movies with other fractions such as Naked Gun 33⅓ or 4¼ or even The Secret Diary of Adrian Mole Aged 13¾!

And let us not forget these other fine fractionized films:

8½ Women
Cop & ½
9½ Weeks
Duck Dodgers in the 24½th Century
1½ Knights - In Search of the Ravishing Princess Herzelinde
10 + ½ + 1 = Making of 11½

I prefer 4:3 cuts too but future releases will be in Edgar Reitz' preferred AR. He has been explicit that the series was conceived as a film project to be shown wide. I'm very glad I picked up Heimat 1-3 in the lovely Tartan dvd packs, the first two of which are in 4:3. But I've hugely enjoyed the Second Sight blu set of Heimat 1 in the wide format too. Just patiently waiting for blu sets of 2 and 3. Heimat 3 by the way is every bit as much a masterpiece as 1 and 2. In some ways it's even better if that were possible. You'd have thought Reitz is only human and would have run out of ideas and steam but no. Can't think of anyone who has been this consistently good for decades like Reitz.

But yes, Criterion, Arrow or Second Sight blu sets of Heimat 1, 2 and 3 would be incredible.
