Thank you, both. I was neither aware of the scan nor the history. Knowing this, I will purchase Miller's Crossing, but I can see The Tales of Hoffman taking the same route as The Red Shoes. I will give that one a year.

pretty damn excited for Lost Highway. Saw the restoration a few weeks ago and it blows any version of the film I've seen away. It looks gorgeous.

I believe the thing to look for with the Studiocanal titles is if Studiocanal has also released it on 4K. With the Tales of Hoffman, they've only done a BD release, so Criterion was likely only allowed to do a BD as well. You can compare all the titles that Criterion has licensed from SC, and see they only have released them in 4K when SC have also done the same.

Titles released in 4K by Criterion and SC:

Titles released in BD only by SC, and then by BD only by CC:

Tales of Hoffman
Le Corbeau

Man, that's a tough one. I'm contractually obligated to mention A Simple Plan once a week. I haven't mentioned Yakuza Graveyard in awhile, same with Virus. Been focusing on Brotherhood a bit over on the Kino thread. Still a lot of titles left to focus on.

Not sure if it's any indication of a future release, but IFC Center will begin screening Daisies (1966) on August 19th, courtesy of Janus. Criterion released it on DVD as part of the Pearls of the Czech New Wave Eclipse box set. The film was recently restored, and had its world premiere at Cannes this year.
