Adding two wildcards to my predictions:

CODA: Best Picture winner Parasite was released October 2019, so it's possible Criteron could do that again here. There are rumors that they are able to license from Apple, with the doc The Velvet Underground (2021) rumored to be coming from CC.

Petite Maman: NEON seems to have bypassed this film on their BD schedule, which leads me to believe they licensed it to Criterion, just like they did with Sciamma's other film Portrait of a Lady on Fire. The film takes place in the Fall, so an October release would fit.

I can see them doing CODA, but not a month after Sound of Metal.

Ha! Beat me to it. Halloween themed. I’d be surprised if it is anything else and would be delighted if it was in 4k!

I was going to predict THE LAST PICTURE SHOW from Sony's new transfer, but Bill Hunt thinks that it may show up in Sony's COLUMBIA CLASSICS VOL. 3 box set.

So Janus has Lost Highway as a French film, so I guess that's the 1997 French film. So what's the 1997 USA film?

Ew. Fan of the movie but what a waste of a release that would be (as would The Ice Storm.)

Boogie Nights was my first thought as well.

Seems like the 1997 - USA title might be Mike Leigh's Career Girls

Chasing Amy
Eve's Bayou (edit: This is from Lionsgate so probably not that)
Wag the Dog

I hope that 1997 US film is The Watermelon Woman. It was at a festival in 1996, but was released theatrically in 1997.

I'm hoping for Boogie Nights, would love some more laserdisc upgrades/PTA in the collection.
