These are the ones I'm thinking (Same as everyone else's haha). Nonetheless, this is obviously going to be a BIG (I can't stress that enough) month for Criterion!

This was a pretty good guess!

If you never watched Arsenic and old lace, I suggest you take a deep breath and have an open mind when watching it, it won't grow on you, you might not even like it, but eventually the pain will end and you will see the end title screen show up on your TV, good luck, thank me later

Interesting month. I've seen three of the six films (Lost Highway, La Llorona, and Cure; never actually seen NotLD), and only in rare circumstances do I blind buy or for that matter do intra-format double dips. I already have Eureka's release of Cure, and it's a film I liked rather than loved the first go-around, so I'll probably wait for the 4K-sourced master to be on the Criterion Channel to give it another look before committing to buying it again in 1080p. Lost Highway on UHD I may buy at some point but not on day one, since limited funds are forcing me to prioritize other titles first. I may get La Llorona as close to day one as possible though, since I liked that one quite a bit.

Just for the record, some titles that could feasibly get Criterion UHDs that I'd still buy on day one are Barry Lyndon, 8 1/2, Eyes Wide Shut, The 400 Blows, and Le Samourai. I don't know how assured a Criterion UHD of La Règle du Jeu is.

Huh? That is one of my favorite films. It also has an imdb rating of 7.9 from over 70,000 people. I know that everyone has their own opinions about any film, but we will have to agree to disagree with this one.

I know that some are against it (surely including Criterion themselves ), but I quite enjoy getting hints before announcement (IE year/country this time around). Makes for a fun few days of guessing before title reveal.

Arsenic and Old Lace, finally! Another title I can cross off my wishlist. I know they released Bringing Up Baby, but it felt like ages ago since their last screwball release. Now, hopefully Criterion or WAC releases the underrated My Favorite Wife, another terrific screwball starring Irene Dunne and Cary Grant.
Anyway, just Arsenic and Lost Highway for me, maybe also Cure.

Yeah, it's a very mainstream movie, one hell of a good laugh and a perfect fit for October. There's a reason why so many people have been requesting it.
Also I just saw Mifune's list and there's Captain Blood in it, imo the greatest Errol Flynn and pirate movie of all time, I really hope we get it someday.

As for October, wow, what a month. I've complained about Criterion in the past but they really knocked it out of the park here.
I'm just hoping their Night 4k is not a digipack and that the essay this time is not behind a poster. Come on, Criterion, you can do it! :P

I definitely find it fun when VS do newsletter clues or Imprint do clues with a part of the poster image, or Indicator putting a still at the end of a newsletter. Though Arrow’s clues can be a bit unclear sometimes with stock photos that may only be tangentially related to the film.

Not a very exciting month for releases. Will get Arsenic and Old Lace, the others don't interest me enough to justify purchasing them @ Criterion prices.

Had they only announced ARSENIC AND OLD LACE, I would be over the moon for October's slate. The fact that all six excite me makes it all that much more incredible. This is a solid month of releases!

I've never heard of Bayou or Llorona, I've only heard of Cure in the context of Duke constantly fretting over it, I have zero interest in NotLD given I have the BD and have too small a TV to benefit in the slightest from an uptick in detail, and I'm still super excited about this month.

Less so considering I'll have to completely redo my manual sync of the Tim Lucas commentary on Lost Highway, but oh well.

It has been quite a while since I have been excited about an entire month's set of releases -- this one breaks the streak!!!

Arsenic and Old Lace for me! My current snapper case disc is one of the oldest non-upgraded DVDs in my collection. I remember buying in the summer of 2001 at Borders for the princely sum of $7.99. After twenty-one years of Halloween screenings, an upgrade is warranted.
