Just announce the titles! The cover art can’t be that great if you don’t even have it ready for two different announcement dates.

Yes, and I have always been hoping that they might include, "Who's That Knocking at My Door?" as a bonus blu ray movie, a la "Killer's Kiss" with "The Killing", with "Mean Streets".

All these Scorsese's they have and are rumored to have is why I was halfway expecting a Scorsese big box, at some point. But, it seems unlikely and just my own wishful thinking.

RIP Wolfgang Petersen. Such an amazing array of films he directed. Das Boot is brilliant among many others of his films.

The only reason I think it's silly is that they've essentially announced 2 titles already. Why not announce the titles and say "Extras and features to follow tomorrow".

Not a big fan of the two already announced personally, but excited to see the rest.

When Kino was queried about that, they said, "Both 'Cape Fear' films are with another label."

Maybe Criterion has both.

BTW, Mitchum and Peck are in both. :P

Why not dream bigger and hope for a double feature release a la The Killers?

And speaking of Who's That Knocking at My Door?, Mean Streets and After Hours, I wish Criterion would take over every Scorsese film from Warner Bros. Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore is also long overdue, and hell, why not Goodfellas, since the Warner 4K release has gone out of print in the US for some time now?

I dream that Criterion is about to announce a BIG Scorsese box set, a la Bergman and Fellini, LOL.

One can dream, can't they? (I don't actually believe it's gonna happen, though...)

I beg to differ. The Scorsese film had complexity and moral ambiguity. The original was a simple B movie.
