4K discs are very susceptible to scratch-related playback issues. I normally take my time catching up with Criterion purchases but I'll be watching my lightly scratched copy of Lost Highway ASAP just in case it needs a replacement.

Someone needs to make a documentary or biopic about Criterion starting in the 1980s. No filmmaker has done this yet.

I still have my Laserdiscs in a box in my closet along with my Laserdisc player. I can't remember if I have any of the Criterion Laserdiscs but I do have the Star Wars boxed set with the original versions of the first trilogy. I need to pull it all out and see if they still work.

I just found out that the UHD copy of Double Indemnity that I got during last months flash sale had a regular BD inside the case rather than the UHD. I've just sent an email to orders@criterion.com asking about an exchange.

Anyone else have this happen? Was Criterion pretty good about honoring your purchase?

When I first opened the case for Double Indemnity, I saw only the two Blu-ray Discs on the right side and thought they'd made a mistake, until by chance I looked under the booklet and found the UHD disc hiding.
