Do you know the "biz" more than them? Probably not, as it seems like they might be someone who is a bit more informed than you are. Just my take.

Looks like SilverScreen96 didn't get too far before getting banned. Was pretty sure it was some sort of sock account.

I have noticed a few new sock accounts being created and some from people who might have been banned before. I guess they are coming in for another round and hopefully they can be a bit more civil on their second go arounds, or third.

The film Quo Vadis, Aida? by Jasmila Zbanic needs a release. Stat.
I would love a 4K release of Spencer from Criterion

Well I did warn him. He seemed way too outspoken for a newbie. It might not be permanent though unless it actually was a sock.

I feel like I’m getting paranoid in my old age and just seeing sock accounts everywhere.

Yeah, seemed very knowledgable about the site and the reviews here, so it seemed like it was someone who either was already banned, or created the account to say things that they wouldn't say on their main account.

I've also noticed another new account that sounds a lot like someone else who was permanent banned awhile ago...

They didn't help their case mentioning Criterion reviews.

I would love a UHD of Pig, just so that we have a chance of a proper release of that movie. And then there’s Oldboy…

My issue with Criterion is less about the content of what they release and more about the availability of what they release.

The way I see it, all these Netflix, Amazon, Neon, A24 releases take up resources and a monthly slot that could be reserved for something that you can't already stream or buy in 4k. Does a new interview or essay really make a difference?

The highlight of streaming films being released on Criterion is that they finally can be placed safely away on our selves as opposed to these streaming services hiding the films with algorithms. Or worse yet removing them for anyone to watch.

That would never happen. Also, WB is the worst thing on earth for removing content from their streaming app.

Can't you just slow it down and sync it? It's a difference of six seconds across two hours, so it's not going to be noticeable and it's a commentary so pace/pitch aren't that important anyway.

Can anyone with the Criterion channel see what logo this open up with?

https://www.criterionchannel.com/ele...E7APChBazk8Opc

It's the two Johnnie To Election films. I'm pretty sure Tartan lost the rights awhile ago, and curious to see who is providing Criterion with these? Also curious on the transfers, as the Tartan transfers were literally the worst ever.

What I do is import it into Audacity, use the speed change function, export it, then use MKVToolNix or TSMuxer to add it to the file.

Well, I guess Tartan still have the rights then. Would have been exciting if H if Amy’s or someone else had these.

They're getting released soon in Australia by Chameleon.
