The Todd Browning set alone makes this a great month, but I'm also very happy to see The Others on 4K and part of the collection.

I wish The Show could have made it (it's a "sideshow shocker") but that's picking nits. WAC can always tackle that one.

And Freaks just became my #1 on my November Criterion list. Eventually on the rest of the titles despite then being very strong titles. Frankly the October slate could’ve been Freaks and five lesser MCU movies and it would still be a legendary month.

Love this month. I remember renting The Others from the video store (dvd by this time) when it came out and loving it.

Was holding out hope for Jigoku but I’ll have to keep waiting.

Freaks finally in the collection. This alongside After Hours might be some of the most in-demand titles I've seen getting the Criterion treatment this year.

Never saw The Others but hoping that one can join in. Wonder if Birth would deserve a spot in the collection as well.

Skal has teased that a "major" Tod Browning related announcement is coming tomorrow (apparently Mr. Skal initially said the announcement was coming Saturday the 15th, then corrected it to this upcoming Monday. Given the rumors that Criterion has Freaks, this may or may be what is being referred to there by Mr. Skal.

I like how he tried to tease it, like he tried to say it without really saying it. While I honestly already forget what the other two titles are (don’t worry, I’ll have the whole set burned into my head by November), the thought of Freaks getting restored and my ooooooold DVD finally getting put out of commission makes me wet.

While this is still a win, I’m still a little bummed that we don’t have the OG version of Freaks.
