Twentieth Century is probably also with Criterion and on second thought probably the one that he was referring to. It is after all also a fast talking screwball directed by Howard Hawks that happens to already have a master that is definitely Blu-ray ready if not 4K UHD ready.

I tried looking around online a bit, and I could not find any of the 2-DVD Nexpak (thick) black cases that Criterion used to use. Or rather, I can't find any that aren't part of an eBay lot (and only include 1 perhaps 2 of this particular case).

Is there a place where I can purchase 1–3 of these particular cases?

Are these what the 2DVD Nexpak Alphapak cases look like now? If you remove the outer insert on several of my older CC 2DVD releases, the spine itself has 3 lines instead of 2, and also contains a smaller dot in-between the 1st and 2nd line as well as the 2nd and 3rd line.

Would I be better off just ordering an extremely cheap release with the proper case from Amazon?

I was about to pull the trigger on the Studio Canal release, but would prefer to wait if Criterion is releasing it here (unless we know the Studio Canal encode should be better - any intel on who encoded it? If it was FiM, then I should probably just go ahead and assume it's the better encode and pull the trigger on the Studio Canal Release).

I'd really love a David Lynch double announcement today - Fire Walk With Me and The Straight Story, but I'm probably delirious.
