I picked up the following 4K titles:

Pinocchio
The Apu Trilogy
Blood Simple
Lone Star
Trainspotting
McCabe & Mrs. Miller
The Heroic Trio/Executioners
The Roaring Twenties

EDIT: I looked through my e-mail and found one from Criterion from December 8th that had a code that was supposed to expire on December 22nd. I couldn't remember if I used it, so I tried it, and lo and behold, it worked. The subject line was Criterion Holiday Sale.

Kind of starting to feel a tinge of regret for not getting Heroic Trio this sale.

I still try to grab at least one Eclipse set each sale, there's a lot of good films on those that I don't expect will ever make it to Blu. Most of them are available on the Channel, but I'm also too skeptical to rely solely on streaming as a long-term solution.

p.s. Those are two great Eclipse choices, especially the Lubitsch!

First time getting in on a flash sale, and as UK importer I've prioritized titles we haven't had direct ports of (and likely won't);

I wouldn't press the button on any of the major MGM titles like Midnight Cowboy, Sweet Smell of Success or The Graduate. Those are absolutely going to get 4k upgrades.

Kino, for instance, has already upgraded 6 or 7 of the Criterion MGM BD titles so far: Dressed to Kill, Manchurian Candidate, Night of the Hunter, etc

Any Canadians ordering from Unobstructed View; it looks like they are including pre-orders as part of the sale.

I included To Die For with the order I placed. Of course, I won't get the order until To Die For is released, but I can wait

Anyway, I just received my fifty dollar code, but I'm going to put it in reserve for the October sale.

I really need to remember the Eclipse sets when these sales happen. The Late Ozu set is one of the best disc purchases I’ve ever made.

Dang I could have sworn the t-shirts and empty cases were 50% during the last sale too.

One and done today since I'm on a bit of a budget (and I've pre-ordered too many recently), but I've been wanting to start her career.

There's only one Criterion that I want right now, so I was one and done. I had $30 worth of Criterion credits, so I got "The Roaring Twenties" for $2.92.

I'm trying to save money because I just found out yesterday that I'm going to the TCM Film Festival in April!

I usually skip the Barnes & Noble sales these days so I go a little harder during Criterion's flash sales. I put the rest in spoiler tags so as not to take up too much screen space.

That's an excellent point, I don't have to spend the gift card right away. I might want to use it to upgrade La Haine on the next sale, at the very least.

I just realized that I haven't upgraded Blood Simple yet, so that be another title I can save it for.

That is true, it looks like a highly-praised film. My conscience tells me I should stream it first to see if it's something that will really warrant a purchase.

Thank you for your insight!

Ordered to be shipped to a US based relative to ferry over when they visit India. I doubt I'll get these in hand before December, but such is greed. I suspect next month we'll hear of new 4K resto's for some of the older BD's like Judex and Vengeance, now that I've bitten.

Changed my mind, the price looked a lot more enticing once I converted it to GBP, especially with 2 vouchers added to the mix.
