They also wouldn’t want to miss out on sales to people who might only want one film instead of a massive collection. I think if they want to do an Ozu set the problem would be how comprehensive it is. The silents would be obstructive to doing a more complete collection since they require a lot of effort in multiple ways.

It's true---I bought the new Virgin Spring release during the BN sale and the big Bergman box was announced like the next day. I was so mad, I had opened it already!

Yes to Monterey Pop 4K! It was remastered in 4K and released in ‘17. I think we’ll get it at some point.

This is actually getting a UHD release in France, but I can’t imagine there being much of a market for this on UHD in North America, so I expect it to be another situation similar to The Servant with Criterion only sticking to Blu-ray for the upgrade.
