Oh my gosh I can't believe the 15th is already coming up. Time flies when you're so busy with life and I always get pumped for new Criterion announcements, even if the titles are ones I won't buy/never heard of.

I don't have any more interests in making predictions but I always love surprises and will take anything at this point. If there's nothing good this month, there's always next month, and the month after, and so forth...

Would be nice if Criterion crossed another new-to-Blu Classic Hollywood movie off the list of movies they have, but since they seem to do only 1 or 2 releases like that per year now (and they've already done 2 this year) I'm not expecting it.

Rage in Harlem, Dead Presidents please please please, Baby Boy, Quiz Show, The Straight Story US Blu-Ray and 4K release

Out of these I’m leaning towards The Straight Story US release on Blu-Ray, and 4K UHD as I think a US release is happening this year, or next, but I don’t know what month.

Honestly I think Bill Duke’s Rage in Harlem, and John Singleton’s Baby Boy are both getting Blu-Rays this year, or 2025 by Criterion though, or another Boutique label. I also think Criterion has the Nightwatch 1997 remake why wouldn’t they?

More Kurosawa films getting updated to Blu-Ray please oh please let this happen

I've long stopped hoping for more Kurosawa at this point but aside from that, i'm hoping we finally get Captain Blood on blu ray, imo the greatest swashbuckling movie ever made. It's long overdue. And maybe just maybe we can get one day Winchester 73 from Criterion too!

Oh and how about the other Harold Lloyd movies they haven't released yet or the Chaplin short films at First National Films?
