Thanks I was just wondering what the chances are of Barfly getting a US Blu-Ray release?
Also do you think Criterion would release Rage in Harlem, and Undisputed on Blu-Ray, and 4K UHD in the US? If not them then probably Arrow Video, or Kino Lorber.

The last few days of posts on this thread have been greatly entertaining. I think with the strong July announcements, it's really fun to hear about all these potential new releases coming soon. I almost got The Wild Bunch confused with The Wild Angels and now I'm wondering if any Roger Corman films will ever be released in the Criterion Collection? I'd especially like to see The Trip as well. If anyone can shed some light on the lack of Corman in the collection, please let me know? I feel this was discussed not too long ago, but nevertheless, I'd love to hear.

When I got the Criterion email with the new announcements my jaw dropped when I saw Pat. Then I scrolled down to Risky Business and briefly thought Criterion was playing a very late, and very mean, April Fools joke on us all (I love Risky Business but it wasn’t something I was expecting from Criterion). What a slate. I will grab them all. Even the more recent film is from a well known auteur and has gotten great reviews.

That’s a bit harsh. Nothing wrong with a bit of enthusiasm. We all have to learn how to use the forum.

As a long time forum member, who pays attention once and a while over the years, I have to say CHILL on watership. He has already shared in a thread, I cannot remember which, that he is on the spectrum. Others were giving him a hard time, like now, so he was able to clarify. Having an adult son that is also on the spectrum, I can 100% say that he is not doing it on purpose or to be annoying. This is part of the disorder. Whenever a thought comes into his head, which he can relate to on the forum, he needs to post about it. It may sound like nonsense, but that is part of it. My son has an easier time texting than talking. Sounds weird, but believe me, it's a thing. The sorting, that we do, does not happen in his head. Frankly, I applaud him for putting himself out there. If watership wants to elaborate any more, great. If not, just cut him some slack. He is trying to do his best to add to the discussion and feel like he belongs. I know it gets annoying, but that's why we have the ignore button. Use it if you must, but remember, he really isn't doing it on purpose. You never know, he may add something you never thought about from a film. Keep on truckin' watership and hopefully these movies you discuss and watch fulfill some happiness in your life.

Thanks dude I really appreciate it I greatly appreciate you standing up for me I’ve been harassed and verbally attacked so many times in the past, and I am happy that there are people out there willing to stand up for me. Thanks jcs913 I really really appreciate it as it means a lot to me.

No problem watership. I appreciate you putting yourself out there a while ago, as it stuck with me. It takes courage. I know it's not easy for you, but like I said, keep on truckin!! Just remember, whatever makes you happy is all that matters. You will get people that don't understand for the rest of your life, just try and stay positive. Enjoy these films and let them continue to bring happiness to you.

Occurrences of of human decency are so rare on the internet I had to comment. We need more of the previous few posts. There's a human on the other end (for now). You never know what kind of movie their life is at the moment, or which act it's in.

Why do those discussions need to be categorised on human decency level? That is what's actually wrong on the internet for me. I saw watership's flood of comments across several subforums and never saw the one explain his situation, hence, my initial reaction, like some others, annoying. It is still annoying for me but now someone explained, watership, do as you please (you're allowed), I no longer care and definitely won't talk you down again. I'll just ignore em next time I'm annoyed (I'm allowed).

Simple like this. Human decency is such a big word between guys never even meet in person.

In for Scaramouche in particular (both 1952 and 1923 actually)

Perhaps that particular movie hasn't aged well though.

I guess Shout Factory has the best Roger Corman films. Olive had a release of Bucket of Blood, perhaps that's available, but his best would be the Edgar Allan Poe adaptations with Vincent Price. The best of these would be Masque of the Red Death, which was influenced by The Seventh Seal, and has been influential in its own right. The Saint Valentine's Day Massacre seems to be unreleased in the US (happy to have the Indicator disk before it went OOP).

For Corman produced films, I forgot about this:

Even when it came out, The Intruder was criticized by Esperanto speakers for its inaccuracy.

The Intruder isn't in Esperanto. You're mixing that up with Incubus.

Now that you explain it, I understand thanks, but unless we saw the post he made explaining the situation, (which I didn't), most of us would not know. This forum has quite a few posters who can be annoying/frustrating so hard to know the reasons for each member's posting habits. Perhaps if he added a note in his signature explaining his condition it would help others know.

FYI: I have never put a member on ignore and probably never will.

I have the Fallen Women set and the Bluray set. Have to say I can barely tell the difference between the DVD and Blurays when making a comparison. There is small uptick in clarity, but its really hard to discern. I think many of these films need some modern restoration work done.

Though I'd jump on a Criterion Bluray set of the films in Fallen Women in a heartbeat even without a recent restoration.

It was released by TT, but sold out quite a while back.
