I might get Real Life at some point. I'm a fan of Brooks and have never seen it. I don't remember much about Mother, but might be something worth checking out. No luck on the classic Japanese films this month.

Looks like The Last Emperor UHD replicates everything from the 4-DVD set (Yeah), but I think the Blu-ray will be the same as the existing Blu (boo).

I'm happy to see some more Albert Brooks. But like Duke I too was hoping for some Japanese films.

I love me some more Albert Brooks these are some great announcements I hear great things about these underrated comedy films especially Real Life which I’ve seen clips of and found it quite funny, but never experienced these films in full myself looks like that’s about to change. I love Albert Brooks in so many movies that he just feels so underrated as an actor as he deserves better. Loved him in Drive, Finding Nemo, and the Simpsons Movie where he played the bad guy, but haven’t seen him in anything else. I really need to watch Broadcast News, and Out of Sight as those are some great films.

Criterion was generous this year and gave us 2 Japanese films. I guess we have to wait until 2025 for more.

I still think there is a decent chance we might get Demon Pond for October. If we don't, going to be a sad day for sure.

I might be reading it wrong, but it looks like The Last Emperor is the extended version in 4K?

A very solid follow-up to an exceptional July. However, I already own Arrow's TLE LE 4K set, and as a Channel subscriber, the remainder will most likely be streaming screenings as opposed to must own discs. My Criterion wish list is already quite long, and I'm sure there will be others to add before the next sale in December.

Theatrical in 4K, Extended on BD.

This, The Bad Sleep Well, and Stray Dog will hopefully get announced for Blu-Rays and 4K UHDs for Criterion this year I’m hopeful it will happen as they need to happen so bad.

I didn't think there was anything for me in this batch, until I discovered that Amy Wright is in the supporting cast of NOT A PRETTY PICTURE. I'm kind of an Amy Wright completist, so I guess I will order that disc when it eventually lands in a B&N sale.
