Yeah, I doubt it’s today for that very reason. Maybe next week. Which would include Pandora’s Box so ok.

January is usually a pretty light month if memory serves correctly, but that doesn't stop me from wishing for some good titles. Really hoping for Cyrano de Bergerac, but it might be too early for that.

Last January had 4 Blu-ray releases (one a box set) and just one 4K release (Edit: I confused myself and was looking at January 2023 rather than the start of this year ). We'll see what we get this month, but things have definitely shifted in the opposite direction this past year, with 4K dominating, and BD taking a backseat.

Last year was pretty stacked weirdly from what I remember. Blood Simple 4K, Trainspotting, Lone Star, Mudbound, Apu Trilogy 4K, and Chantal Akerman box set

16mm can still be great on 4K.

Even though I'm only getting Yojimbo/Sanjuro, I'm glad to see Criterion is now doing nearly all 4K releases in their slate (not 100%).
