My main priority for November B&N will be catching up on 4K upgrades, plus Paper Moon 4K.

Need to pick up the 4Ks of Blue Velvet, The Fisher King, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, and Seven Samurai. Though, I'm on the fence about just importing Seven Samurai from the UK as a better upgrade combined with existing Criterion extras.

I think it’s to dissuade overseas customers from doing preorders. I’ve seen international shipping costs on Criterion releases dropping as you get closer to release day.

Aside from upcoming titles that comes out during the sale month, pre-orders never qualify. There's just 9 upcoming Criterion Collection titles that don't qualify for the sale.

Looking into it, it appears Amazon may have inadvertently PM'd the Blu-ray price instead of the 4K, as it shows $24.99 on July 1st 2022. Not sure if they fixed that at any point, but it was for sure a mistake.

The 4k, the Barnes and noble price sticker said $50. But I'm just wondering what made them decide to ask more for seven samurai when criterion has released other 4ks with similar digibook packaging, movie length, and disc count. If it's toho telling them to raise the price then how come they didn't with godzilla?
