Bleak Moments, Le Pond du Nord, and Room 666 (hidden) are on Janus's site, too.

I'm surprised Criterion hasn't announced more Rivette yet. They also have L'Amour Fou.
I could always use more Rivette. I would be curious to see how their release of L’amour Fou stacks up against the Radiance release. I wonder if Room 666 will be a double release with Room 999 or be part of a bigger Wenders set.

I have always had difficulty immersing myself full-tilt into Guillermo del Toro's films, because the overly-artificial visual aesthetics tend to take my mind out of the stories. This one is the worst offender, because the combination of gauzy Cold War noir cues and adult fairy tale sensibilities has a forced video game look that does not work for me.
[Show spoiler] It just makes me want to revisit Creature from the Black Lagoon again.

Still, after reading the site review for the new Criterion 4K, I'll be darned if I am not tempted to pick it up anyway.
I am completely opposite I love the artifice. It works for me completely! I don’t get video game vibes from it at all. But different strokes for different folks.

Hopefully early, since the last batch were late.

Also, hoping we get a new to HD Japanese title or Cyrano de Bergerac, or even better, both. Haha.

I hope I don't have to go into battle again, but if soo...

RE: GDT - I've definitely been underwhelmed by some of his films, like Crimson Peak and The Shape of Water. But I always find myself seeking out his next project, something I can't say for many other directors. The man loves cinema and always manages to effortlessly create fantastical worlds to immerse the viewer in. He also seems like an incredibly pleasant person.

I don't know what they're doing with Wim Wenders' films. They've been sitting on so many titles for years.

From the Family of Reptiles / The Island
The Goalie's Anxiety at the Penalty Kick
Lightning Over Water
Notebooks on Cities and Clothes
Palermo Shooting
Room 666
The Scarlet Letter
The State of Things
A Trick of the Light

At this point in time, I hope they're working on a box set of all his films. But knowing them, they won't release it until after he's done making movies.

Given its recent 4K restoration and theatrical screenings, I think it's safe to say we'll see it upgraded sometime in 2025.

Delayed, but in the works:

I wonder if American Factory is still in the works.

Also, do you think we'll see Four Letter Words and Starlet in April, as well?

I wonder when they're planning to release Edward Yang's A Confucian Confusion, and Mahjong. I expected one or both this year. We're definitely due,or overdue for a new WCP set too.

Honestly, I'm surprised we haven't seen a complete Ozu or Yang box set yet.

The Ozu 120 and Yang retrospectives finished theatrical runs a couple of years ago now. (And they both seem like inevitable releases.)

Edward Yang only has 7 feature length films, so that set shouldn’t be too hard to do!

It was a really stacked year. Probably one of the most stacked in recent memory. It would be interesting to see the voting, because I would guess votes were probably all over the place.

Personally, I would have put Call Me By Your Name, Lady Bird, 3 Billboards, or Phantom Thread ahead Get Out and Shape of Water.

2017 was an insane year. Don't forget Blade Runner 2049 and I, Tonya.

Honestly, I've given up on Criterion putting out anymore new to Blu-Ray Akira Kurosawa, or Hideo Gosha titles so it looks like BFI is picking up the slack there sorry Duke I'm on the BFI train for Japanese titles now. Duke I really think you should pick up BFI's Blu-Ray of Stray Dog if not a Region B Blu-Ray player they're not expensive I say go for it. I have one so I think you should get one too, and I think you should definitely start importing stuff.

Personally my wishlist of Japanese titles that need Blu-Rays are for either Region B, or Region A for me as long as it gets released I'm satisfied whether it gets released on Blu-Ray in the US or Europe doesn't matter to me.

Add to that:

-Guillermo Del Toro said he's working with Criterion on releasing Bunuel's Mexican films.

-Someone at Criterion mentioned a future Bollywood box set.

-Spike Lee made a brief passing comment about She's Gotta Have It having a Criterion release.

Le Pont Du Nord has been released on blu ray by kino. Many of Rivette’s films are on blu ray courtesy of Cohen film collection.

It would be great to see a 4k release.

I own Le Pont du Nord on Blu-Ray along with the Cohen releases. But in case you don’t know, they didn’t release all of Rivette’s films. Some are missing from Blu or are on blu without English subtitles.

A 4K would be nice, but finishing putting his filmography onto Blu, and then a 4 would be even nicer.
