Hoping it pairs with Fires on the Plain, but not getting my hopes up. Burmese Harp alone would be great, and would be nice to have one of the special features by the remake which Criterion also has.
Not sure. Could be a case that they're going to put out a new DVD edition, but it's also possible (if not more likely) that they're just doing away with the DVD SKU altogether. They've been shifting away from DVD for a while, with only select new releases getting a DVD too.

I think a couple of others as well.
I had my own two years ago, ended up almost dying a few times and I spent about two months in the hospital, so I 100% know what you are saying.

I think those are definitely something they'd want to release in 4K, as I imagine they'd sell quite well on UHD.
I literally just purchased the OOP cover of Say Anything that I wanted on blu-ray, so I imagine that it will likely be announced by Criterion with far superior cover art lol.

For the record it was just a longshot random guess because Criterion posted a picture of Ione Skye in the closet earlier this month as a promo for her memoir.

$10 Criterion Channel codes were just sent out. I'm assuming this means there will be a Flash sale on Tuesday?

Yep, just came here to post the same thing. Almost certainly means it's this Tuesday.

Lucky for Criterion, I get paid tomorrow. The Classic Hollywood titles (which I primarily collect) have been slim pickings lately, but I may get "Scarface" or "Winchester 73." I am looking at a handful of New Hollywood titles however, including "Tootsie," "Paper Moon," "Funny Girl," and "Night Moves." I may also get the Brat Pack classic "The Breakfast Club." I probably won't get all of those though--have to save something for the July Barnes & Noble sale.

Is this the first code they've sent that comes with an expiration date?

Yeah, I was wondering about that when I saw it in the e-mail. With this code I have $30 worth of codes.

I didn't notice the expiration date! It is good until 3/17/26. Maybe they had too many orders come through that were practically free due to stacked codes. I know that I managed to get "The Roaring Twenties" last year for $2.36 with stacked codes.

Makes me sad Night Moves misses the cutoff.

I still have the 10 coupon from Dec so might pick up night moves anyway.

That's my thought, as I myself have $100 stacked, guess this is the last time I can save up this much.

“Save it for a flash sale!” … but it expires the day before the sale.

If you're like me and haven't purchased anything from Criterion since the last flash sale, another $10 off code was sent out on 12/9/24. I have $20 for next week's sale.

And there was another $10 code if you took part in the Lippincott survey back in January.

Always hard to choose which titles to get (especially with so many other boutique sales this month), but I think I’ve narrowed it down to three that I’ve seen before: The Lady Eve, The Breakfast Club, and The Virgin Suicides and then three blind buys:It Happened One Night, La Piscine, and Crossing Delancey. I could watch Crossing Delancey on the channel first, but I kind of want to just buy it and encourage more rom coms for the collection regardless!
