I saw FaH had 4 Criterion Hitchcock movies. I have 3 of them on disc and decided to compare them to the Criterion versions on Max. I put my copy of The Lady Vanishes in to play and it would not play. I guess I need to go through my Criterions and see what plays and what doesn't.

Someone on another thread pointed out that Walmart dropped the price to $21.79. As usual, it looks like Amazon is just price matching.

Yep. I watched it this evening and it was as great as ever and stunning in 4K. I can’t say it enough: My best experiences with 4K quality has been watching black and white films.

When I was a teenager, I worked at a movie theatre in Westwood. We showed Christiane F. (dubbed) for a few weeks. It did okay business on the weekends, but I actually never watched it. To this day, I have never seen it. I'll have to check it out eventually.

I just watched it the other day for the first time. It's not a feel good, fun time kind of watch~ though it is very well done, with an incredible soundtrack. I don't really like seeing needles and such, and it doesn't really hold back with all of that. It's one I'm really excited to buy from Criterion. I'm hoping for some great extras as well.
