No he didn't marry Mia Farrow, but he did definitely marry Farrows adopted step daughter, which is wrong. Not to mention super weird, and gross.

Again, he never married Mia Farrow, so Soon-Yi Previn was not his step-daughter (adopted or otherwise). Nor did he adopt Soon-Yi, so she was not his daughter (adopted or otherwise). Allen adopted two of Mia's children, along with having one child together. But she also had several kids that he did not adopt, including Soon-Yi, which to me suggests a different relationship with those children.

Basically he dated Mia Farrow, and ultimately left her for her younger (adopted) daughter. Allen is 35yrs older than Soon-Yi, which many people find inherently improper - but they have stayed together since the relationship started, and have been married for almost 30yrs, including 2 kids of their own. To me, that indicates their relationship was more than just a creepy old man chasing a young girl. (see also David Foster & Katharine McPhee.)

Everyone is entitled to make their own judgments, but to me it feels like Allen has been mischaracterized over the years. He's often lumped in with convicted serial predators like Weinstein and Epstein, when really there was just the one claim of misconduct against Allen. Of course, if Dylan Farrow's claims are true, then his actions were reprehensible and he should be held accountable. But there's a lot of conflicting info out there, so it's pretty hard to know what to believe - and ultimately, no charges were ever filed. I'm convinced that much of the outrage around Allen persists because of his relationship with Soon-Yi, which to some people is almost as bad as the other allegations.

EDIT: Having said all that, I find his films very hit or miss. Mostly I enjoy his early comedic stuff, and find a lot of his later works too pretentious and self-important. But honestly haven't watched most of his more recent films.

I think Woody Allen is a genius writer and director. I wish we had some more of his classics, such as Sweet & Lowdown and Match Point on blu-ray.

Haha yeah, it was the only date available at the time. But guess what, I'm back home already .. I went to a DMV Express and arrived like 20 mins early, and amazingly was out the door before my scheduled appointment time (11:15). I just went to upgrade my ID to an "Enhanced" one and I had all my documents and forms ready to go, so that definitely helped. I've had nightmarish trips to the DMV, but this one was super smooth. If anyone is in the NYC area, I highly recommend the DMV Express on West 30th. They even have a pretty high rating via Google Reviews, which is why I opted to go there over anywhere else.

There is a Spanish BD of Match Point. I'm not sure if it's a fancy bootleg or not but it looks legitimate to me as it has BBC logo on the discs (one is a DVD) and they're not BD/DVD-Rs.

Sweet and Lowdown is so great! One of my favorite soundtracks of all time. Both those pictures would be great pics for a boutique.

My holy grail title to be released by Criterion is Dead Presidents. I have hope since they released Menace II Society. I know DP is with Disney but it could be done
