Spinal Tap feels like a joke to me. It's awesome it's getting a released but I feel like I'm being pranked.

I recently bought Borden's Born in Flames from a different distributor so I feel like I helped manifest that. Might double dip.

And I'm surprised Audiard is getting some releases on Criterion after Emilia Perez. But thankfully it's good films from him.

Yeah I was a bit shocked considering how bizarrely concerned they are with optics. For example, still no Blu-Ray release of KNIFE IN THE WATER.

Wow, I love that 4K upgrade of This Is Spinal Tap, and that cover art ROCKS. The Kurosawa upgrade of High and Low is solid too.

Also pretty cool to see those two Jacques Audiard releases. And a new 4K of Flow is cooooooool.

These are some good September titles.

Born in Flames is a bit of a surprise (as in I just didn’t expect it). I’d be interesting in revisiting it, but I remember not really liking or vibing the lofi sorta style of the film.

Never heard of Read my Lips, but seems like something I’d love.

September is a pretty insane month considering the Wes Anderson box set (and 2 solo WA titles) coming as well.. Super happy about High and Low, and Flow. I had said Curzon's UK release of Flow would be hard to beat, and Criterion would need a commentary track, and they delivered.
