If anyone can make it work, it's Criterion. After all, they got Warner to play ball with Once Upon a Time in China 4 and 5.

Someone on this forum was pretty certain we'd get THE WILD BUNCH from Criterion this year.

BOOGIE NIGHTS seems like a good call because it was on that WB leak for July and still no sign.

Also, I know ONE FLEW OVER THE CUCKOO'S NEST is coming as a steelbook in UK/Europe but is there a chance that's the WB release and Criterion might have it in the US?

That said, is it likely we'd get more than one WB release in the same month? In which case, it's likely one of the Kubricks.

CUCKOO'S NEST is confirmed for US. It was already on the WB 2025 slate leak while BARRY LYNDON was only the anniversary (WB UK/EU, Criterion US).

However, DOG DAY AFTERNOON, which has had a 4K DCP for some time now, I expect to come from Criterion in November or December.

Perhaps A Fish Called Wanda. The Arrow and MGM BD's have been OOP for a while now and it has not had a 4k release yet.

Revised guess list also yes I think this list will be hugely WB focused some of them incredibly long awaited too

House Party 4K
Lolita
Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore
I know Where I'm Going!, or 49th Parallel, or Hud, or heck even Heartburn
Akira Kurosawa new to Blu-Ray title
Captain Blood
The French Connection I think it's high time Criterion just confirmed this already also it needs to be uncut no censorship please.
Kenji Misumi Sword Trilogy

Also I forgot to mention I'm checking out four films on the Criterion Channel this month. That being these four titles: Fires on the Plain, 49th Parallel, I Know Where I'm Going!, and The Burmese Harp.

Yeah, probably right.

Still think it's unlikely we get two big WB titles in one month but happy to be proved wrong.

Gosh Dang I would love that it's one of my most wanted MGM 4Ks, and it's just a fantastic 80s comedy film everyone is hilarious in it.

Spooky Kind 2 is with Warner Brothers and Criterion managed to get the two Warner owned Once Upon a Time in Chinas. So I think a Criterion double of the two Spooky Kinds is in the realm of possibilities.

If it's with WB then yeah I could totally see a double feature coming from Criterion.

Warner also has a Mr. Vampire movie that I could see Criterion trying to get to include in a Mr. Vampire set, whenever they get around to it..

This just was released by Umbrella in Australia in a phenomenal 4K restoration. It still has 2 quite deluxe editions available too in addition to their standard edition. It's an *incredible* transfer!

I know Apple aren't playin' nice allowing companies to release their titles on physical. But I imagine Scorsese and Criterion could ink a deal for Killers of the Flower Moon to be the first release for them.

Any chance that Black Swan could enter the collection?

We know there’s a “remastered” version showing in IMAX soon, so I could see it ether going criterion, or the path of the Sony/Disney Fox steelbook limited edition.

Here to also reiterate my desire for Criterion and/or Disney to release Down With Love

Things can always change I guess, but as of March 2025, Criterion said they have specifically tried to release Killers and Apple refused

(I am the primary source of this news lol, while waiting in line for the Mobile Closet at SXSW I talked to their head of acquisitions and she said they tried to do Killers and Nickel Boys and can't)
