Also, I think you're going under the assumption that too many people in this thread are "new" classic/foreign film viewers. I don't think that's the case at all. Who's to say what people have watched outside of their BD collection? I'm leaving it at that.
I assume you read my second post below. How does this contradict? Many are entertained by what Salo brings to their senses, mentally and possibly physically, in your case it didn't. Like I said, leave it at that.

Someone on the Criterion forum already identified it as a screencap from Blue.

If that hint ends up being Kieslowski's Blue I would be surprised. How many times does Criterion have teased this release? About three or so I think, why give us "hints" of something we are almost 100% sure they will release and in which month. Not really blaming Criterion, just wondering why they waste their "clues" in releases they already teased before .

Haven't seen it since the early 80's, and recall almost nothing from it. Might as well see it now right?
Thanks for posting again, but I'll just stick to watching Sweet Smell of Success since Blow Out was one of my blind buys during the last sale (even though I have yet to watch it).

I preordered the UK version of the Colors Trilogy, which comes out in October. I wonder if I should hold out for Criterion.

UPS just delivered my copy of Pale Flower and Kagemusha. I'm off the next four days so this is great. Cannot wait to also get Harakiri and Kuroneko.

Not really saying they are doing something wrong with this, I am just wondering why they don't hint at something else. Sure they have the right to do whatever they please but it would be nice to see hints about other releases instead of the Three Colors Trilogy. Also, I am not saying this release isn't that important, in fact, I am extremely excited by it. It was a nice hint thought . Here is hoping they will announce Wild Strawberries and Y Tu Mama Tambien for November.

Didn't know what's happening but my Leon Morin BR ordered on B&N on August 1st hasn't been shipped yet.

I then went on their website and found out that the BR is out of stock, only 2 weeks after its release.

Wonderful job from B&N.

DeepDiscount shipped my copy of the Killing/Killer's Kiss as well. Unfortunately, it's coming from CA via DHL (I live in NJ), so I probably won't get it for another 3 weeks.

I'm really excited for the Three Colors Trilogy, but that hint doesn't look like we'll be getting very good cover art. Hope I'm wrong.

Or maybe it's just a coincidence they did it that way.
We've already HAD the hint for the "Three Collars" trilogy
[Show spoiler](get it?)
, and they don't hint twice.
If you didn't figure it out the first time, they don't have to nag.

As for Beta's expanded look, any hint at what we are looking at?

Same thing for me, ordered it a few weeks prior to it's release, they sent me an email saying that it was delayed but they would ship it soon. Now the order status screen says they expect to ship it on 8/2/11.

They hinted Black Moon in the newsletter and with a teaser cover pic too.
Maybe they're pushing Three Colors so much so it doesn't get overshadowed by the surprise super awesome announcement of Out 1 6 blu-ray set next week.

I think if Criterion hinted a Rivette there would be a few forums that would explode...

For those wanting to see the package ! It looks really, really nice in my opinion. Loving the back cover, all those earth-like colors mashed together, beautiful .

Ordered Night of the Hunter during the previous B&N sale. It arrived 2 weeks later, case was smashed to crap. Shipping box was fine so it wasn't the UPS guy.

Ordered High & Low during the recent sale. Received Beauty & The Beast.

WTF B&N? I like the prices but man what crappy service.
