Their site must be getting hammered. Even though I had the items in my cart, it took a long time to complete my order.

I broke a rule of mine by ordering a film (Gold Rush) that's available on Hulu Plus, but it's my favorite Chaplin film, I get the extras, and I show support to Criterion for the great work they're doing.

Can't wait to see IAMMMW. I saw it in the theater with my Dad a long, long, time ago. Hope it's as good as I remember.

This isn't that much of a deal. I just checked Battle of Algiers and with the 50% off, it's $26. That's a very high price for a DVD. The Barnes and Noble sale is much much more appealing, when you can get an additional half off.

the site must have been getting totally hammered, as i had a few time-outs, but i am happy with my mini-haul (compared to some sick orders i have seen):

last night I sampled some of the David Lean collection just to check out the transfer quality.

of course I want to see great films which, hopefully, this set will contain, but restored PQ like the ones contained in this set is what REALLY gets me excited about the format. I did not know until recently that In Which We Serve was actually a Best Picture nominee. So, you've got a Best Pic nom, a certified classic w/ Brief Encounter, and two other beautifully restored color films that have had good things said about them.

can be had for 50 bucks today.

get Blue is the Warmest Color and you've got 5 Criterion titles brand new and shipped for $62.50. can't be beat!

Just a heads up: the site ALWAYS runs slow during this sale. Y'all really just have to be patient and let it do its thing. eventually it should go through.

I ordered at 9:01....and got through easy. but it'll be like this until midday. so if you want popular titles, just be patient! and good luck!
