Went a bit mad but I think that covers pretty much everything on my Wish List.

I'm based in London and I usually get my Criterion releases from Amazon due to ease of shipping...

However, I am using a friend of a friend based in North Carolina who is going to ship the bundle over to the UK for me... Any suggestions on the safest/cheapest shipping option?

Also, is there anything I can get my friend to mark the package with ('gift' or something) which may help avoid customs?

Now I need to go have a lie down and think about how I'm going to pay for all this lot...

You need to get them to mark it as a "gift" it can be valued at £36 (about $60) in total, but have them mark it to around £30. However if it should get lost you'll only be able to claim that amount.

The other option is getting them to mark it as "books" you don't have to pay any VAT/import fees on those.

I think if they mark it as "Bomb" you don't have fees either.
