Would've ordered more but the past few months of blu's (IAMMMMW, Foreign Correspondent, plus about 10 other non-Criterion releases) have put a serious dent in my pocket book. I'm now getting the "you ordered another blu-ray?" look from my wife when the mail arrives!!!
Yeah, I may have to sneak these in one at a time for this order. She's really cool about my movies, but I get the look sometimes...

The KOTH page shows backorder, but even though Tess is greyed out on the Flash Sale page, if you click through to the Title page it shows Add To Cart.

If it still let's you order, I say jump on the Tess release before it's gone any moment now.

Yeah, It may be in "Shopping Carts" that are hung up... would hate to snag it from someone. Though I hope that's not how it's done..

Foreign Correspondent is now listed under "Selling Fast".

Stray Dog is "Running Low" which might be great for its upgrade prospects. Sell the stock out!

In the past, I've usually bought my criterions during the B&N sales, how often does Criterion have 50% sales like this?

* In the Mood for Love
* Tokyo Story
* Kiss Me Deadly
* Badlands
* Thief
* It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World
* The Last Emperor

* Rififi
* Throne of Blood
* The Rules of the Game
* Tess

Plus a couple of random extras....

* Blu-ray Replacement Case: The 400 Blows
* Clear Blu-ray Case (5-pack)

Just crept over the 500 point threshold (total was $501.34!) so I got a Gift Code! Will wait and pick up The Hidden Fortress & Persona druring the next 50% sale!

Went a bit mad but I think that covers pretty much everything on my Wish List.

I'm based in London and I usually get my Criterion releases from Amazon due to ease of shipping...

However, I am using a friend of a friend based in North Carolina who is going to ship the bundle over to the UK for me... Any suggestions on the safest/cheapest shipping option?

Also, is there anything I can get my friend to mark the package with ('gift' or something) which may help avoid customs?

Now I need to go have a lie down and think about how I'm going to pay for all this lot...

All the best from a Criterion fan on the other side of the pond.

Sure everything was marked at 50% off? seems too much $500 for 16 titles shipped to the US.

When i first used the code Babette's Feast wasn't marked at half for some reason, i removed it and added it again to the cart and had to use the code again and it worked.

So what are the odds we get these orders in our hands by the end of the week?

Usually I get orders from Criterion within 2-3 days.

Oh... I did not even read this until after I had placed my Flash Sale Order.

- "Criterion is opening their product closet! They're gonna people in!"
- "Class dismissed!"
- "No, no, it's only for 20 people."
- *sigh* "Class undismissed."
- "They sent out 20 Golden Tickets, and the people who find them will win the big prize."
- "Where have they hidden the tickets?"
- "Inside 20 Flash Orders. You've got to order Criterions to find them."
- "Class re-dismissed!"

I wonder how they'll handle people that place multiple orders instead of one?

I was starting to get worried with February nearing an end, that there maybe wouldn't be a flash sale. Well I am thankful, picked up 3 titles:

Badlands
Thief
Blue is the Warmest Color

Can't wait to watch them. In regards to Badlands, which I have not seen, I'm not a big Malick fan as I've seen The New World, The Tree of Life, and Days of Heaven, and DOH is the only one that really grabbed me. So from reading about Badlands and with the knowledge that "early" Malick seems to be more my taste, I figured why not give his first film a shot. Love Sheen and Spacek, too.

Sorry, I made a mistake, I forgot to include:

Black Narcissus
Jules and Jim
The Lady Vanishes
Foreign Correspondent
The Ice Storm
Sanjuro

Any tips on shipping the lot to England?

I hope you enjoy Badlands. Sheen's interview is really cool. He remembers exactly what he was doing the day he got word he got the part. Listening to Desolation Row while cruising down the highway

Is it likely that prices on Amazon.com will also drop during the next 24 hours? I'm a UK buyer so I'd normally only buy during the B&N sale, but if Amazon/ebay sellers lower prices I can get some now too

I hope so! I've been holding out on buying this for a long time, but now that Hidden Fortress is getting upgraded, Stray Dog is my most wanted Kurosawa on blu.
