It sucks cause I live in Australia and apparently Criterion's site don't do international orders?
It's worth a try to contact Criterion about the replacement case, because they're good about shipping one replacement case even if you did not buy the title from their site.

Casetopia is a cool place to order backup replacement cases, just in case. I've ordered several from this site.

That'd be pretty cool if they sold backup replacement discs...

Love Streams Blu-ray REVIEW

Great new 2K restoration. And as usual, Criterion deliver an outstanding selection of bonus features. In the long documentary -- as well as in the film, of course -- it is easy to see that Cassavetes was very ill at the time when he shot Love Streams. Great audio commentary, probably one of the best from Criterion this year.

Hopefully, we will soon see Gloria transition to Blu-ray

Y Tu Mama Tambien finally arrived! was delayed and should have been here last week but never mind.

The packaging is beautiful in person and so much nicer than on screen, it's got an amazing booklet which is huge, a lot of care has gone into this presentation, time to watch!

Oh also I thought the bottom of outter digital was foiled in the pictures but it's just sand image lol,

That makes much more sense! I was confused by the pictures as I thought it was foil too. However if I'd paid more attention to the back cover I might've seen it was sand...

Would have been a nice little touch though haha, I love how Mishimia is foiled, hope when they upgrade they keep the same style packaging lol

Omg forgot how incredible this film is, so happy it's in collection! Didn't realise but the narration is so much like Amelie lol

Default Nashville

Last night, I watched Robert Altman's Nashville and was "blown away." I saw the film on videotape back in the 1980's when I was in my early twenties. At that time, I lost interest very fast and did not actively watch the film, but I always knew that I needed to give the film another chance. That opportunity finally came about last night, and after the film was over, I sat silently and thought about what I had just watched for at least an hour. This is a film about the American dream. The city of Nashville serves as a microcosm of the U.S.A.- our dreams, our needs, our desires, and how we intermingle. Like America, the movie is about a "melting pot" society of individuals, each with their own agenda. Each song in the film -some superficial, some deep- expresses something about its singer(s) and listeners. I was profoundly moved by the experience. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Y Tu Mama Tambien I was shocked that Criterion didn't release this in an unrated or the NC-17 version I would not expect Criterion to release a cut version of the film.

Wait this is cut version? Why would they release a cut version of a film? :/

At imdb says this is a heavily cut version, but I don't see any other "uncut" version released either.

That's not the version Criterion released though. That version is 100 minutes long. The Criterion, like the MGM Unrated DVD, as well as international versions is 106 minutes long and uncut.

Finished Y Tu Mama Tambiena me I must say it's. Brilliant release from Criterion, not delved into supplements yet but superb release.
