Oh yeah, here is the entire list of things to come.

Quote:
Confirmed Releases

The Apu Trilogy (1955-1959)

Source #1: The Criterion Collection's 2011 press conference.

Source #2: The Criterion Collection’s 2012 press conference, which simultaneously hints at more Satyajit Ray films to come, as well (Note: The latter portion of this press conference could be a reference to “The Big City” (1963) and “Charulata" (1964), which were both released in 2013).

Source #3: The Criterion Collection’s FaceBook photo depicting film strip analysis of “Pather Panchali” (1955), the first film in the trilogy.

Source #4: The August 23, 2014 program abstract from the website, “The Reel Thing”, confirms that The Criterion Collection restored all three films in Satyajit Ray’s “The Apu Trilogy".

Blue Is The Warmest Color (Special Edition) (2013)

Source: The Criterion Collection’s press sheet for the standard release of “Blue Is The Warmest Color” (2013).

Boy (1969)

Source #1: The Criterion Collection’s New Years 2013 newsletter.

Source #2: The Criterion Collection’s 2013 press conference, which simultaneously hints at more Nagisha Ôshima films to come, as well.

Boyhood (2014)

Source #1: Richard Linklater’s interview with the movie website, “Hypable”.

Source #2: Richard Linklater’s production company, Detour Films, confirms that Paramount Pictures will handle the initial distribution of the film, while The Criterion Collection will handle a special edition at a later date.

The Brood (1979)

Source #1: The Criterion Collection’s 2013 press conference.

Source #2: The May 2014 blog post, “The Latest Buzz on New and Upcoming DVD Releases” from the website, “MovieFanFare”.

Burden Of Dreams (1982)

Source: The Criterion Collection’s September 2014 Instagram photo shows a stack of “Burden Of Dreams” essays alongside several essays used for a variety of Blu-ray home video releases. This cannot be a coincidence.

The Complete Mr. Arkadin (1955)

Source: The Criterion Collection’s September 2014 Instagram photo shows a stack of “Mr. Arkadin” novels alongside several essays used for a variety of Blu-ray home video releases. This cannot be a coincidence.

Fellini Satyricon (1969)

Source #1: The Criterion Collection’s 2012 press conference.

Source #2: The Criterion Collection’s July 2014 newsletter.

The Fisher King (1991)

Source: Terry Gilliam confirmed at DragonCon 2014 that after the event has ended, he will be returning to London to oversee the finalization of the film for its upcoming release.

The Harold Lloyd Collection (N/A)

Source: Suzanne Lloyd’s March 2014 interview with the website, “Parade.Condenast”, regarding the first box set - the talkies. A silent films box set is to follow.

Jacques Rivette Film(s) (N/A)

Source: The Criterion Collection’s 2012 press conference.

The Man Who Fell To Earth (1976)

Source #1: The Criterion Collection’s September 2014 Instagram photo shows a stack of “The Man Who Fell To Earth” (1976) essays alongside several stacks of essays for other Blu-ray home video releases. Being that the film has been out of print for several years, this is an indication that the film is going to be put back into production.

Source #2: An Instagram user, known as “starsinhereyyes”, confirms in the comments section of The Criterion Collection’s September 2014 Instagram photo that her husband’s firm worked alongside The Criterion Collection in July 2014 to bring the film back into production. A release date is set for February 2015.

Martin Scorsese’s World Cinema Project, Vol. 2 (N/A)

Source: The Criterion Collection’s 2012 press conference confirms both “A Brighter Summer Day” (1991) and “Limite” (1931). Two other films, “Law Of The Border” (1966) and “Revenge” (1989) are likely to be included within the set, as well, due to their being on The Criterion Collection’s Hulu page.

A Master Builder (2013)

Source: Jonathan Demme’s interview with the website, “Deadline” for their August 2014 blog entry.

Midnight Cowboy (1969)

Source: The Criterion Collection’s November 2013 newsletter.

Mulholland Drive (2001)

Source: The June 2014 blog post, “The Latest Buzz on New and Upcoming DVD Releases” from the website, “MovieFanFare”.

My Winnipeg (2007)

Source: The Criterion Collection’s Instagram photo shows mock-up designs of the film, presumably for a future release.

A Raisin In The Sun (1961) - there's a lot of debate surrounding this one, but I'm still thinking it was confirmed.

Source: The Criterion Collection’s New Years 2014 newsletter.

Red Sun (1971)

Source: The Criterion Collection’s New Years 2014 newsletter.

Rome, Open City (1945)

Source: The Criterion Collection confirms their poster choice for Roberto Rossellini’s, “Rome, Open City”, presumably for an upgraded Blu-ray release, in their August 2014 Instagram photo. The photo comes at a time where the film is due to be re-released in select theaters with a brand new restoration. Being that “Rome, Open City” was originally released by The Criterion Collection with the other two films included in Roberto Rossellini’s “War Trilogy”, one could assume that the other two films are due to receive the high-definition treatment at the same time or at a later date.

Safe (1995)

Source #1: The Criterion Collection’s 2013 press conference.

Source #2: The Criterion Collection’s August 2014 Instagram photo depicts a mock-up poster of Todd Hayne’s “Safe” with The Criterion Collection logo on it.

Le Samouraï (1967)

Source: The Criterion Collection’s 2012 press conference.

Shôhei Imamaru Film(s) (N/A)

Source: The Criterion Collection’s 2012 press conference.

The Thin Blue Line (1988)

Source: The Criterion Collection’s August 2014 newsletter.

Time Bandits (1981)

Source: The June 2014 blog post, “The Latest Buzz on New and Upcoming DVD Releases” from the website, “MovieFanFare”.

The Truth (1960)

Speculated Releases

25th Hour (2002)

Source: Spike Lee’s tweet in Summer 2012 regarding a possible release of the film as coming from The Criterion Collection. He further went on to admit that he recorded a new commentary for the Blu-ray release of the film.

The Charlie Chaplin Canon (N/A)

Source: The Criterion Collection’s 2013 press conference. I personally believe that this is a reference to the inevitable release of Charlie Chaplin’s entire film catalogue in the future months and years.

The Devils (1971)

Source: The Criterion Collection’s 2013 press conference.

Don’t Look Now (1973)

Source: An Instagram photo (circa: unknown) depicting film strip analysis of the film by employees of The Criterion Collection.

Elevator To The Gallows (1958)

The Emigrants (1971)

Hiroshima, Mon Amour (1959)

Leaving Las Vegas (1995)

You guys are falling down on the job. It's not enough just to predict what will be announced. You also need to say which one of your predictions will get the most "never heard of it" comments, and which one will get the most "not interested" comments.

Hmm. I wonder who usually makes the "not interested" comments....

Oh yeah - I think I've asked this before.

I don't really buy that as a clue. But it does make sense for Criterion to release it and I really hope they do.

I'm really hopeful for something by Alain Resnais, be it Hiroshima, Mon Amour or Je t'aime, Je t'aime (or something else entirely).

It's odd that Truffaut's anniversary has thus far gone un-noted by Criterion too, given the widespread celebrations elsewhere. Here's hoping for something on that note too (The Green Room would be a dream).

It's definitely a perfect fit and after Paramount licensed Rosemary's Baby I was in the 'only a matter of time' camp too but I have to say, I'm starting to waver a little now.

Spartacus is another one that seemed like a done deal but never materialized.

Maybe a box set including Last Year At Marienbad... *hopeful for Alan Resnais and Carol Reed box sets that restore two of the OOP blus whilst including new films*

Yes, you'd have thought Criterion would do something for it before the end of the year!

It's been a great year for French cinema and Criterion, it'd be nice for them to go out on a high.

Speaking of which, Sundays And Cybele shipped this aft!

We watched The Kid in my film history class today.

I saw the film towards the start of the year via Turner Classic Movies and I remember enjoying it enough, but it wasn't until today that I loved it. It's not my favorite Chaplin film by any means, but it has a lot of heart to it.

I'm definitely hoping for it to be announced today.

Imagine if we got The Faith Trilogy in December.

EDIT: It may just be me, but I think the default image for Le Notti Bianche was changed on Criterion's website. Hmm...if true, it could be a good sign of things to come. http://www.criterion.com/films/868-le-notti-bianche
