Looked at Night Porter a few times, may look again now it is on Blu. The Eclipse looks interesting

I'm a bit underwhelmed by the Time Bandits release, now debating on getting the Arrow release.

I highly disagree. It's not weak, just middle of the road. One of the critical darlings of the 90s in Safe, Time Bandits returns to the Collection and very much underrated The Night Porter gets a much needed new transfer. Oh and Eclipse isn't dead.

I'd say it's about on par/above average with December expectations. It's usually this small.

Most enthused about Kinoshita eclipse. Downer about no WCF.

I haven't seen Safe, but Far From Heaven is a masterpiece and I'm Not There is very good. Definitely in for it.

Yep....maybe Time Bandits but the rest are pretty "Meh".

I wonder if they had one more release they were working to get on the docket but in the end was a no go?

Pretty diverse. Never been much of a fan of Time Bandits, but if I want to buy it, I would go with the UK Arrow edition. No interest in Safe.

As for The Night Porter, saw it years ago and I was knocked out by it. Don't know if its a title I would get straight away, but I would get it at some point.

It is encouraging to see they haven't discarded the Eclipse series. I think this is the first since the Late Ray set.

It's part of AmazonUK's 2 for £10($16.22) deal.

Nothing that really interests me at the moment for December.

In other Criterion news, all the upcoming Tati films have been added to Criterion's iTunes HD selection - available from October 7th.

It's been a 3-4 releases a month for the last few of years (2009-now), I don't know why people expected a full 5-6 releases slate. You'd think they would honestly know by now the pattern and how it works.

Not really. It's typically 5-6 releases most months. Feel free to condescend though.

I have seen it once but I think All that Heaven Allows is much better..
