Just snagged Breaking the Waves, Fantastic Mr. Fox, King of the Hill, George Washington, The Night Porter, and Shallow Grave through .ca for $32 shipped. All blind buys, none of which I was planning on picking up in the July sale (that's a separate frustratingly longer list), but it's impossible to resist those prices.

Here's hoping they'll come through.

I just placed an order for 14 Criterion's but I am assuming that it will be cancelled. Stuff like this does happen on occasion and they usually just apologize and cancel all of the orders. One time US Amazon listed the Criterion Cul-De-Sac for $1, but they cancelled my order because it was a pricing error.

Looks like most of the prices are fixed now. Got my order in just in time... if that's even going to matter.

Unfortunately I missed out on most of this

Was able to quickly sneak in Thief and Blow Out. Had an Amazon rep add them to an existing order of mine so I didn't have to pay for shipping. Some really lucky people here who ordered a whole bunch of them! There's more I would have liked.

I'm just going to back out of this thread and pretend I didnt see anything about an insane pricing error with dirt cheap Criterions

I had to nab the Tati set for $10 (I used the priority courier which moved the price up to $40 or £21). Canadian dollar is very good against the pound at the moment

Also had a big order of Criterions I managed to add up to below £15, but I have no hope for those.

I bought a multi-region player a few years ago, but shipping and customs is so unkind to the UK, I only have 7 from when I went to Canada last year. I hope this changes

I was able to order 37 Criterion blus and 2 criterion dvds for a grand total including shipping and tax of $155.85 Cdn. I fully expect the complete order to be eventually cancelled but made the order just in case.

There was a similar glitch by amazon.ca earlier in the year where the complete series of Dick Van Dyke Show on blu was something like $20. I was able to get a copy at that price. So I guess you never know...

can i say something:
would it be ok to ask an amazon representative if there was an error or not?
-if it wasn't an error then no harm done.
-if it was, then our orders would be cancelled anyway later, so again no harm done.

The sooner they become alerted, the sooner they can stop the warehouse from shipping out orders.

I would just let it run its natural course.

(although since they changed the prices, it means they were alerted to the "error")

I just hope we find out in 1-2 days if they will be cancelled or not.
I was keeping the sum I spent on 4 Blurays, for a limited cd released on upcoming Tuesday.

The insane Canadian pricing is on DVD only....so no fretting.

Getting a bit nervous. 1 of my items is in a state of "Preparing For Shipment." Another is in a state of "Shipping Now." And neither has progressed any further yet. The others haven't budged at all.

In Criertion news, so excited for The Fisher King this month. I've been saving my lunch money!

I doubt if they would budge beyond Shipping Now type status and then will probably go to shipped with the email confirm later this evening into the night. I've watched my amazon orders stay even in shipping now status for 10 + hours. Just depends on when they confirm the orders out and have it scanned from the pickup to ship.

Parts of my 4 orders are "Preparing for shipment", better than nothing!

You misread the listings. At one point I was going through the entire Criterion catalogue listing 1 at a time to see if the page listing showed an "under $5" price and had a panic moment where I saw DVD listed somewhere and thought it was just DVDs. However, I double checked and made sure that the item descriptions all stated "[Blu-ray]."

They were not DVD only.
