The struggle is real, people.
LOVESEXY!

At least Alphabet Street and Glam Slam are early on.

Yeah, but my favorite song on Prince's Lovesexy, "I Wish U Heaven", is found on the second half of the album, and I cannot skip to it on the CD.

Huge fan of his 80s stuff, not so much these days. I was lucky to experience his Lovesexy tour when he hit L.A.. Pretty incredible concert.

If you like her in The Killers (1964) and Dressed to Kill, then you'll also enjoy China Gate, Rio Bravo, Point Blank, and Death Hunt (1981).
James Dean died 60 years ago today. One of my first "draws" towards classic cinema. I wasn't around in 1955, but his death is one of those things that, to this day, I still feel is a major bummer. Long live James Byron Dean!

(picture spoiled because it's huge.. sorry.)

Yeah, exactly. I'm often disappointed how he almost always chooses boring shots. I have to come here, or search Google for HD captures of the films' beautiful images. I make a lot of montages of films, using their beautiful images and photography, and I almost always have to go to another site to get the images.

She's Junior Soprano's favorite.

The 2 albums he released last yr. with 3rdeyegirl are actually quite good, especially PlectrumElectrum. Some really rocking tunes there that recall some of his 80's stuff.

And if you want to see more of Ms. Dickinson, check out Big Bad Mama. No body doubles in that one.

Likewise. DVDBeaver has been my site of choice for wallpaper-grade images for as long as I can remember!

Oh my. If you read its own thread, people are out with pitchforks for Criterion's release of Mulholland Drive. Common complaints are:

-artifacts
-one chapter stop
-blur on someone's private parts
-horizontal stretching

Did Eraserhead get so much hate prior to release?

I had respect for Gary Tooze until his review of "The Osterman Weekend". I can't believe he gave the thumbs up on that disaster of a Blu-ray transfer. The colour timing was completely off and the DNR button was set to 100.

The genitals has ALWAYS been censored and that was agreed by the actor and Lynch prior to their contract. It was never intended to be shown and pretty sure she could sue if they uncensored it.

I wonder how many of those people have actually viewed the blu-ray?

I was going to ask the same thing. The only one is probably Dr. Svet because he reviewed it.

She could probably sue the individual viewer if they messed with their settings enough to be able to see it without her permission.

Well with dvd it was done in the shadow under strict lighting and I think after bluray release people managed to edit it? So they censored as it was in contract to have it hidden.

Robert Harris routinely questions people when they make judgements on PQ based on stills alone. He says it cannot be judged unless you see it in motion. I'll trust his opinion on this one.

Check the coming Tuesdays at 9:00am PST, or if you have account at Criterion.com, you should get an email when it starts.
