I've been teetering on the ledge about buying Mulholland Drive, but I'd like to revisit the movie, and this is probably the final push.

Agreed. Triangle is a good little film.

I keep hoping that Scream Factory or some other such label will release Turistas, but it hasn't happened yet. Melissa George was great in that flick.

Only in stock items. Sometimes a release due out in a few days after the sale will be included if they already have it, but that's as close as it gets to pre-orders being included.

Hi Namuhana,

The plan was to have it on Monday, but then Mulholland Drive and Kwaidan came in. The guys have been asking for these releases for quite some time now and they are rather long films with plenty of bonus content.

We will do Room with a View either on Thursday or Friday night. (I already have some UK reviews in progress as well). I hope this works

I thought at first the movie is quite weird, but after giving it another chance I definitely recommend it, it is pretty funny and while I am not an avid fan of The Beatles I do find the soundtrack excellent, it also helps that the Sound quality is top notch on the release, and it comes with lots of extras and a nice digipak.

Bottom line, do it.

I disagree, I have often copied shots from his site (and from blu-ray.com) to use as wallpapers.

That's very rare for him. Countless films may have a good shot or two, but most shots aren't interesting ones.

I remember a CBS release of Mahler's fourth from Lorin Maazel back in the 80s that had only one track for the whole symphony, but they used those little known index points for the movements. Nice idea but wasted for a single-work disk. Would be quite nice for say a disk that had two multi-movement works. But how many players (or rippers like iTunes) can even show index points? Like the CD-text facility that almost no one uses, a bit of a wasted opportunity by the industry.

I disagree. Tooze has no eye at all for what makes a well composed or interesting picture in and of itself. Worse, he has no eye for capturing pictures that represent the essence or ideas a particular film contains... you know, what filmmaking is basically about.
