Since we're getting Mulholland Drive I wonder what the next "most requested" title will be. I'll join those asking for an upgrade of Bicycle Thieves and also add Juliet of the Spirits, Brute Force, and The Naked City. So many upgrades that I want.

If it's upgrades, then I'm hoping for:
The Browning Version (1951) Carnival of Souls I Know Where I'm Going! Z Any one of those 4 would be nice. All 4 would be very nice indeed. Steve W |

Seeing this mentioned reminds me of a chance meeting back in 2002 with the amazing Vanessa Redgrave. Back then, I was a barista at Starbucks and on a Saturday night very close to closing two women walk in. I was making a beverage and I heard this woman inquiring about different teas. She was wearing a large hat and I could not see her face but her voice was so distinct. I simply said "you sound just like Vanessa Redgrave". She looks right at me and says ever so slowly "I am she". I simply shrugged her off saying "no you're not". Her eyes widened and I snapped into reality seeing it was Miss Redgrave. Needless to say (and criterion related), I immediately praised her work and brought up her father saying I loved him in "The Lady Vanishes" and my favorite "The Browning Version". I even brought up "Dead Of Night" which would be a great Criterion title. She was impressed with my film knowledge of her father and we sat down for maybe 6 minutes just chatting about his films, hers too. Ahh a memory I'll cherish. |

During the flash sale I purchased Vampyr not realizing that Criterion re-released it with no book. I ended up buying the original set with the book on eBay and now I'm selling my new copy from Criterion. Packaging matters...at least to me. |

Also, Assayas next film is also going to feature Kristen Stewart. I wonder if Criterion will try to release Sils Maria near when that film (Personal Shopper) is released to try and capitalize on it's buzz? |
