If you do decide to post a review on it, why not make your own Blog or use that Letterboxd for them? Even 4Chan /tv/? Can be quite annoying to read your long winded overly verbose postings on your so-called 'reviews', yo.
Or do you consider yourself to be just that important as though your opinions matter in the forums when other sites will do you well?
Too much tl;dr, yo.

Great Owl's 'long winded overly verbose postings' are 1000 times less annoying or unwanted than the post you just made.

They are discussing movies appropriate to the forum they are posted in and often generate discussion. If you don't enjoy them scroll past.

I can see DUMBLAND being as a supplement on INLAND EMPIRE in a way, with the former only predating the latter by a couple of years. It would be great if they were able to include RABBITS as well.
I'm hoping that if they release Lost Highway, they include Pretty as a Picture: The Art of David Lynch.

So I'm thinking of setting this sale out. I do have about 5-6 more titles I know I want so it's going to be tough lol

If I do wait....when would the next 50% off sale be?

Criterion.com or B&N either one is cool.

July is B&N's next one.

And from memory I think Criterion is February, but I don't get to participate in those being in Australia, so don't quote me on that :P

Anyone have any Gus Van Sant favorite films?

My top 5 are:

1. Good Will Hunting
2. My Own Private Idaho
3. Drugstore Cowboy
4. Paranoid Park
5. Milk

(I haven't seen Mala Noche yet)
I've seen nearly his entire filmography. Not a terribly consistent director, but when he's good he's real good.

My Own Private Idaho, Milk, Good Will Hunting, Elephant, and Gerry are my faves.

To Die For, Paranoid Park, Drugstore Cowboy, and Mala Noche are worth seeking out too.

For the past several years, there has been a 24-hr 50% off Criterion flash sale the last week of February or early March (this year it was March 10). I always look for it around this time and use it to catch up on the December to February releases that I want.

Other than that, the next big one is B&N July sale.

Very pleased with the Mulholland Drive blu. The Lynch/Watts interview is excellent. Both are very gracious.

This reminds me... I'm hoping that my prayers for a Criterion Blu-ray of Jonathan Demme's Stop Making Sense will answered in 2016.

I finally fixed that darn reverberation problem in my room. The culprit was a very loose closet hinge. I tightened it up, and voila! no more annoying vibrating.

Actually, it was the very first part of the fifth element, the very low LFE being output that was making the wood vibrate like crazy... no idea why but it was kind of nuts how much the wood was reacting to that frequency.

I see that BFI is releasing a blu of Farewell My Concubine in early 2016. I wonder if Criterion will pick it up for a US release?

(I know that there has been a Korean blu out for a while, but everything I've read about that release is pretty underwhelming)

Oh, wow!!
Where did you see that? (edit: Never mind! I found the BFI thread)
I was waiting for this!
Hope this is a new 4K remaster because in the previous Blurays there was a lot of room for improvement!
