4th here. I am all about the anticipation.

GREAT news about Pan's Labyrinth! Have been begging to see that one minus the DNR for a long time.

I am so happy about Pan's Labyrinth. What an awesome film!

I had a feeling all of the rumors were true and even made a database entry for it several weeks ago. What a coincidence!

Awesome news! Pan's Labyrinth is one of my favorite films but I've been holding off buying the NLC BD and now I don't have to!

"We have some cool stuff coming out on the 10th Anniversary of Pan's Labyrinth! Announcement will happen soon."

I don't know if this has been discussed but could it be Pan's Labyrinth coming to Criterion?
*high fives myself*

So happy to see this happening!

Didn't like Pan's Labyrinth at all, but if they have access to New Line titles like this and The Player, I really hope they'll consider The Rapture. That masterpiece is way overdue.

No way I can go to sleep now if true on Pan's Labyrinth. One of my favorite films. If announced I'm getting a sweet poster to hang over my Criterions.

I'm guessing it will be in this week's announcements, considering how GDT keeps saying an announcement is coming soon.

I never would have thought that Pan's Labyrinth would get a Criterion release. What a pleasant surprise.

Here is a list of New Line Cinema films. It'd be interesting to see what will come to Blu-ray.

Just by briefly glancing over the list, the John Waters films seem like easy contenders. Perhaps Sid and Nancy will be re-released?

Well, Sid and Nancy is MGM. So... It's certainly in the realm of possibility. I'd say it's only a matter of time before Polyester and Pink Flamingos get Criterions.

Michael Tolkin, of "The Player" and "The Rapture" fame, is a pretty talented writer/director as well as novelist. If you've never seen it, check out a film he did called "The New Age". It's one of the strangest, most overlooked films of the 90s. Never even had a DVD release. As long as we're kind of dreaming on some possible Criterion titles, it's one I'd love to see Criterion release out of left field.

Some quality titles on that list. "Deep Cover" is one of my favorite films unreleased on BD on that list to be honest, but it's not really Criterion-ish IMO. But you never know "Glengarry Glen Ross" is caught up in Lionsgate purgatory, but that would be incredible. "Mother Night" is one that really interests me. It's the best adaptation of a Kurt Vonnegut novel put to screen IMO. Keith Gordon did a brilliant job. That movie deserves more attention than it received.

Yes to that.

And Day of the Jackal (1973).

One of my top three "new to the collection" titles I want them to release.

I asked Twilight Time about Day of the Jackal earlier in the year. They said they were actively pursuing a licensing deal with Universal and if they could pull it off, it would be a priority. Criterion would of course be great. Basically, someone needs to release this fantastic film!

Is that the movie where this woman goes from being a hedonist to a born again Christian looking for the coming of God or Christ? It was a pretty interesting film to be sure.
