Yeah, I wouldn't complain if the MSRP was $29.95 for them

So looking at Blood Simple page on the website, I noticed that it's only the director's cut, and the "Kenneth Loring" commentary wasn't carried over.

I guess that means that I'll need to keep the old disc just for the commentary.

Wow, nice month. Dekalog and Cat People are amazing enough. I've always had them in the 'when hell freezes over' section of my wishlist and here we are getting them in the same month.

Night Train to Munich is an eventual definite and Chrysanthemums isn't far behind. And while Zatoichi still isn't a priority it's inched up a little bit with the BD only box.

I love the artwork. It's so unlike anything else in the Collection. Also, if any release ever cried out for a dorm room poster leaflet, it's this one!

A very strong month. The release of Dekalog is a genuine event! It's been years since I've watched the episodes, in less than optimal transfers, so I'm looking forward to revisiting them in HD. I'll probably pass on Valley and already have the Arrow Beyond disc, but Cat People is, of course, a must-buy, as is Chrysanthemum. I may upgrade Blood Simple eventually, but am in no hurry. I was extremely disappointed with Night Train, so that's a definite skip.

Wow this month is crazy, and the price of The Decalogue is lower than I expected, will definitely get that as a blind buy, wasn't a fan of Night Train to Munich but might have to rewatch Blood Simple.

Yeah, true. I shouldn't have any trouble grabbing that for somewhere around $40 (and that's counting state and local taxes) at the nearest B&N come this November. That's crazy.

I wonder how the elimination of the DVDs will effect the Zatoichi packaging? My set is still sealed since I haven't got around to watching it yet and I would gladly get the blu only if its in a smaller box.

Kind of annoyed about the Munich upgrade in that the dvd was released during the blu-ray era and they should have done it then. Like with Eddie Coyle.

I have Dekalog on dvd and don't plan to upgrade as there's not a lot of rewatchability for me. Beyond the Valley of the Dolls on the other hand...

Dekalog is a brilliant release. And with A Short Film About Love/Killing in the set too?! Will definitely be picking that up in November.

I love Blood Simple so will have to see how the Criterion scan looks. I know it's already out elsewhere, though.
