Used the BNSPARKLER code today to get ALL the Kurosawas (sans Seven Samurai and Ikiru because they were OOS but I plan to grab them from my local physical store) for $259. I have the AK100 box set but wanted the extras and BDs when available so I decided to snag this deal and plan to offload my AK100 on eBay to recoup my expenses (and maybe then some).

Does anybody know for a fact that I can purchase the Cassavetes: Five Films box from the Criterion store? I e-mailed Jon Mulvaney on Monday before the sale, but haven't heard back. The box I got has some minor corner damage on the spine.

Yeah, I was seeing the same thing on Monday morning. Three of the films I'd planned on buying were out of stock, even before the 25% off coupon hit. So, I used the 20% off $60 coupon. It ended up costing me about $12, which isn't terrible. But at just after midnight Tuesday, when the coupon went into effect, four more of the films I bought went out of stock; Wings of Desire went out of stock immediately, and not long after, La Jetee/Sans Soleil, Black Narcissus and Summer With Monika, too. So, I feel I made the right choice.

I was surprised to learn that my local B&N has only ordered two copies of CARNIVAL OF SOULS, so I put my name on one of them (haven't picked it up yet). They've been OOS of THE PLAYER for a week now, and I was hoping to purchase it at the same time I pick up CARNIVAL.

I just used the 20% off $60 coupon also by picking up Thief, 12 Angry Men, Videodrome and Night and the City. Not totally the haul I wanted, but it will have to do for now.

You have to have $100 of products (before discounts) in your cart, with no pre-orders for it to work.
