Well, it is blu-ray worthy regardless and needs to see a release by someone. This is near the top of my blu-ray wishlist.

When I first read about Before Sunrise I thought it sounded interesting...but after watching the first two I felt nothing/found them kinda "mushy". Maybe thats because I've never been in love and hence i cant relate to their feelings?? :P Come to think of it, I'm not into romances in general, at least not the ones that are so 'centered' around the couple (if that even makes sense)...so i'm wondering if my opinion would change if I give it another chance.
You've never spent one night falling in love with your potential soul mate, only to be ripped apart in the morning, knowing you'll probably never see each other again?

Happens to me every other weekend.

...I need to stop going to Hooters.

Dream is Destiny is a 90 minute documentary. Not a bad extra.

The Before Trilogy did not spend much time as reigning king of monthly "when will Criterion finally release... ?" comment chorus, the distinction held so long and dutifully by Mulholland Drive.

What will take its place??

Yep, I'd like my copy of The Grand Budapest Hotel to gather a bit more dust before Criterion announces it...

With the announcement of Mildred Pierce, could Criterion have GREAT A+ list Noirs, thrillers and such as Gun Crazy, Betrayed, The Body Snatcher, The Valley of Gwangi, Now Voyager, Tarzan, The Thing from Another World, Freaks and maybe some of the titles from the Archive ? They have picked some really wonderful classics

The Before Trilogy would be viewed very differently if an American actress had the Julie Delpy role IMO. My girlfriend and I argued about this recently. If Ethan Hawke did a meet cute with Winona Ryder or Jennifer Aniston in Chicago or NYC, then those films would be viewed differently, probably as shitty rom-coms. Dudes love to fantasize about meeting the ideal foreign woman, which I think is a huge part of the appeal of those films. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy them, as they are the perfect movies to watch with an intelligent, cultured woman (from a man's perspective).

So no one complained about the Before trilogy until it got announced ?

Deal with it, the three of them are great films, just based on Rotten Tomatoes:

Before Sunrise: 8.3 with 42 reviews
Before Sunset: 8.3 with 171 reviews
Before Midnight: 8.7 with 182 reviews

Then again, Boyhood: 9.2 with 275 reviews so forget everything I said before

No but seriously though, I don't particularly seek romantic movies either, or been madly in love, and usually prefer the films were the couple is struggling to maintain together, so that is why I feel the last one is really strong, that being said, the second is still my favorite, that final scene, pure magic

The first one didn't vowed me though, but I am really curious to see it again, actually the 3 films one after the other.
