As I mentioned a few days ago, I'm updating this thread.

Please don't have a panic attack at the lack of details in the OP.

Canoa was a blind buy for me during the B&N sale. I had never heard of it before, but I saw it in the new releases section and was intrigued after reading the back. Really looking forward to watching it.

I use spoiler tags mon frere.

Caveat emptor.

When people click on a spoiler tag in a Ray Jackson post...they know what they're getting.

I will definitely be buying this come flash sale time!

Not sure about worst overall cause I forget all I've seen over the years, but recently it's Rumble Fish. I've seen this film multiple times since it was shown to us in high school, and I always hope that one day it'll "click" with me. I watched the new Criterion blu last week, and while I appreciated the cinematography much more, I still don't like this film.

And I love Matt Dillon, and have great love and nostalgia for The Outsiders, but I really can't stand Rumble Fish. It's just empty meandering to me with irritating performances. Dillon is miscast in his role, imo. Criterion should have tried to release the theatrical version of The Outsiders instead.

As to a film that doesn't fit in the collection? Fiend Without a Face. I love schlock and b-movie sci-fi, but that film is just flat-out bad.

I'm not as condemning of Rumble Fish as you are, but I'll never understand the preference for it on these forums over Coppola's wonderful, poignant adaptation of The Outsiders. I think it's the retro adulation of Mickey Rourke and its strained aspirations at being an art-house flick.

And the "Complete Novel" of The Outsiders is nearly as big a travesty as Hill's hackjob of The Warriors and tantamount to treason.

As for Minnie and Moskowitz, I caught this a few years ago on Netflix, I would LOVE if they released it. Would go great in my collection.
Ultimate Cassel 'stache Edition.
Husbands is my favorite Cassavetes film. It's amazing.

One interesting thing, The Grandmaster was converted to 3D and got a 3D re-release exclusively for mainland China market in 2015. For that 3D re-release, WKW chose the US cut to do the 3D conversion, and the final 3D version was the US cut with one addition scene in the ending, making that 3D version 111-minute long.

RE: 8MM

Love that film. Late 90's maybe, when Cage was still relevant.

It needs a BD release, don't care who from.

I think Ray Jackson may get his wish today.

Le Samourai was released in 1967.

1+9=10, 1+0 =1, 1+6=7+7=14, 1+4 =5

Today's date 8/16/17: 8+16+17=41, 4+1=5

The stars are aligned.

The film is no longer out of stock on the website either (sold via Amazon).

Maybe this could be a sign.

Its been back in stock for about a month. Sadly, if it was out of stock due to them upgrading, it probably would remain oos until the upgrade gets released.
