You know what would be incredibly ironic?

If someone goes into the Criterion Closet and announces that "they're coming out of the closet" at the same time. I've never seen that happen yet. Who will it be you think?

I wasn't guessing on a title to be released by Criterion, I was expressing a reaction to the post.

But The Big Lebowski would be cool to have from Criterion.

I just picked up Blood Simple during the sale.

I'm genuinely upset they didn't get Barton Fink

Isn't there a Universal UHD release on the way?

Revisionist is still revisionist, despite having the DP "approve" it.
The one nobody talks about is Heaven's Gate. On release critics complained how murky the picture looked and compared it to McCabe and Mrs Miller. Now it looks almost like a David Lean film in the outdoor scenes.

1-2 reviewers of the new print questioned whether it had been cleaned up too much and brightened, but overall there hasn't been much talk about it.

Regardless, it still looks like an old film. No orange and teal

I would hop on that Filmstruck deal if it could actually function properly on the Roku.

What's wrong with it on Roku? (I'm asking because that's how I'd watch it.)

That’s amazingly insane. To live 101 years. I have an original Paths of Glory poster that I wanted him to sign, but he doesn’t do that anymore.

It crashes constantly, often towards the end of the film, bringing you back to the Roku menu. It takes forever to finally load the film back up, and it's always from the beginning. So you're forced to use the lousy interface to slowly fastforward back to the desired point.

Mike Leigh's interview with Jarvis Cocker on the "Meantime" disc is so, so good. It's a great film, albeit very depressing, but the interview is just the cherry on top. Leigh is such an intelligent guy. Really worth listening to.

That happened to me a bunch of times when I had filmstruck. What fixed it was deleting a bunch of rarely used apps (until I only had the 5 or six essential ones).

I'm currently having a crashing problem with TubiTV and Crackle, but it won't alleviate no matter what I do or delete. I'm positive it's just my older(ish) Rokus as my parents have a new 4K one and it works like a charm.

So I'm betting on the issue being your Roku. They're just pieces of plastic after all.

They're priced like gold, though. (owner of no-longer-supported Roku HD from 2010).
