I've heard about 4 or 5 different opinions about Rashomon, but I'd probably cut Personal Shopper.

How nice to actually get a consensus on here to that sort of question, rather than the usual fifteen totally different responses that leave me no better off.

It's definitely staying on my list, though. I have about 40 on there. Dropped a few into my cart and ran it through to see the total pricing, just needed to save one for a later date.

Seems to be a bit of a lull so maybe I can drop a quick question into the mix regarding today's releases? Incredible to have both "Andrei Rublev" and "The Day of the Jackal" coming out on the same day and I'm just about to put my order in, but a third scheduled release, "The Wild Heart" (not a Criterion release, but Powell and Pressburger nevertheless!) has me puzzled. The last news update on the site in November of last year indicated that it would be available for purchase last January 9th but the release date was subsequently moved up to today, September 25th and has remained the same on this site ever since. So the question, intended for the real experts on the site, is why Amazon has been showing a release date of March 19, 2019 and why does a search on the Kino Lorber site not even showing a listing for it. Would still love to have this even as I continue to hope that Criterion could obtain the rights, and the desire, to release the Powell and Pressburger original version, "Gone to Earth". While I'm at it...a Criterion blu-ray update of "A Canterbury Tale" would be a wonderful way to start the new year! Just sayin'...

Thanks guys, should have thought of that myself. Incidentally, if anyone here is interested Kino is confirming that both versions of the film will be offered on the release!

Safe -- no.
Safe it will be in Oct -- probably.

Oct 17th in 2016 (Monday but they moved the Tuesday release to Monday) and 2017 (Tuesday)
Shampoo appears to be the big name release on October 16 so that's my bet.

Sisters is the DePalma/Horror movie, but Oct 23 seems pretty late
Princess Bride could be considered the most popular, but I doubt they'd wait until Halloween

If there is one company that could possibly match or surpass them it would have to be Criterion? I would assume that a Criterion version would have all the different cuts.
