Monday. If the 15th falls on a weekend or holiday it's the next weekday following.

It's extremely rare but Criterion has announced titles on the 14th before. They did so on Friday October 14th, 2016 for instance. So there's still a chance, infinitesimal as it may be

RIP Sondra Locke.

Now that she's dead, I really hope we see The Heart is a Lonely Hunter get a nice blu release either from Criterion or Warner but hopefully Criterion in 2019.

If we’re talking about garbage Criterion has put out I would go with Tiny Furniture, Bowling for Propoganda, the John Waters films. That stuff is wasted disc space.

It’s all based on YOUR tastes.

For me, no way, for multiple issues. The most important for me is I find it to be a bore. I also tire of political pandering and movies about constant racial tension. I find it to be interesting in the subtext of a film, but when it’s the entire basis of the film, I’m uninterested.

The next post will probably have someone saying how great it is.

I’d read the critic’s reviews and watch the trailers and decide for yourself.

I wouldn't take to heart an opinion on this one from a guy from Texas who doesn't like films about race issues and calls Bowling for Columbine Bowling for Propaganda I guess a tip would be if you're still in love w the GOP and NRA and non-caucasian issues bore or scare you, it's not gonna be your thing.

If none of that applies to you, and you find interest in history and exploring injustice and things like apartheid, it's certainly worth checking out. It's a tough watch at times if you know the history and see how it repeats itself even in the slightest ways.

I find it sad that she died on November 3rd and we're only learning about it now. It's too bad about the bad blood between her and Clint because I really enjoyed the films they made together.

I was waiting for someone to bring it up with some detail because I see that title very often on credible best-of lists.

I was thinking about grabbing all the Welles titles next Criterion sale as I like to try to complete directors in one go. When I watched Kane, I wasn't struck by a director I needed to own, but at the same time, I also probably wasn't in a place to really absorb it properly.
