LOL. I know, same here. Each week that passes my list gets longer and longer. Yikes.

The Cloud Capped Star really sounds like what the clue is hinting at!

I think Eyes Wide Shut would happen before A Clockwork Orange.

Personally I want a Shining Criterion. A huge digibook with the U.S. cut, European Cut and one with the alternate ending. So 3 cuts of the film. Add a new 2 hour documentary of the film. Colab with Vivian Kubrick and get her to release more behind the scenes footage and make a new 2 hour cut. Try to get the soundtrack considering it’s never been released since the limited vinyl. And throw in Room 237 while you’re at it.

That would become one of the top 3 Criterion’s of all time.

Get er done Criterion

I wasn't aware of that film, but yes that's pretty obvious.

I planned on watching Blow-Up as I had it on my DVR but imagine my disappointment when it was some early 1930s film and my TV guide had Blow-Up on during the time I recorded. Was really looking forward to watching since I've never yet seen it.

I saw that BFI is touring a new restoration of ACO over there, and the media book's out of print over here, so its status makes me curious.

I would rather a Warner’s 4K of A Clockwork Orange like the 2001(Without the need for fixes), over a Criterion release.

Whether its WAC, Warner, or Criterion I just want A Clockwork Orange to come back in print. Though I also hope Lolita and The Shining will join the Collection.

I imagine Warner would like to keep the historical evergreen sellers - A Clockwork Orange, The Shining, and Full Metal Jacket - and release them on UHD. For that reason I can't see Criterion getting these, but that leaves Lolita and Eyes Wide Shut available.

I would totally be happy for an Eyes Wide Shut Criterion release over a Lolita Criterion release any day.

Yeah but Lolita’s blu Ray right now is so bare bones that it probably needs one before Eyes Wide Shut.

This was my guess as soon as I opened the e-mail. Perfect timing, given the success of the most recent version.

Twilight Time does not. They've only released one Warner title, "Heaven & Earth", and that was primarily due to Oliver Stone pushing for it.

I remember years ago someone (possibly me) did a group polling of what top 10 Criterion releases you'd keep as desert island discs. Well, whittling it down to 20 Criterions is A LOT EASIER.

I love playing these games so my top 20 would be off the top of my head including, but I'll make it a twist: 1) taking into account these blu-ray films are only UNIQUE to Criterion, and 2) aren't available on other US distributors - yes that includes most Kubrick films too!):

01. Naked
02. The Thin Red Line
03. The Darjeeling Limited
04. On the Waterfront
05. Down by Law
06. Mulholland Dr.
07. The Last Temptation of Christ
08. For All Mankind
09. The Qatsi Trilogy
10. Wings of Desire
11. Paris, Texas
12. Thief
13. Slacker
14. Black Narcissus
15. The Double Life of Veronique
16. All That Jazz
17. Le Cercle Rouge
18. The Great Dictator
19. Solaris
20. The Seventh Seal

By the way, Ray Jackson, that movie Minimalism is one great documentary and made me re-think how I live and what I purchase. Whenever I meet a hoarder or obsessive collector I always recommend them to watch that film.
