I'll have to look that up. I sadly admit that I don't know it.

The Windsor knot - the only way to tie a tie. I judge male politicians based upon the way they tie they're ties. Seriously.

Great picks - I strongly recommend Tampopo. Someone else listed it the other day. Of the films I own from the Collection, I find it one of the most entertaining.

Don't worry, it's only one factor.

Seriously though, when I'm approached by a male wearing a tie the first thing I look at is whether he's using a Windsor knot. I guess my dad drilled the proper way to tie a knot into my brain.

Unfortunately I don't think it will happen. I am disappointed every single time they announce upcoming line-ups and it isn't there. Pretty much given up on a Criterion release for it. It just bothers me that others like Eureka, Arrow Academy and Kino Lorber haven't touched as well.

The most frightening part of it is that I remember being able to do it in seconds, with my eyes practically closed. But it's been decades, literally, so I'm just standing in front of the mirror.

Sad. Very, very sad.

for those that have seen Robinson Cureso on Mars and Things to Come. Which do you like better? I seem like Things to Come more than Robinson.

No contest, Things to Come for me. Robinson Crusoe on Mars was a snooze fest for me, but maybe I need to give it another shot.

Last December I said to myself, "OK, you can't afford the Bergman set now, but come July..."

Change it slightly, damn it.

Now, you have to always explain which one you're talking about all the time.
Call it Fellini's Roma, or explain that the difference is between a very interesting and unique, if flawed, film by an old master and a middlebrow mediocrity that will be forgotten in the next few years.

Easy!

I completely forgot that it's announcement time. Hopefully they are good.

I'm watching Sansho the Bailiff on the Criterion Channel with 5 minutes to go when the screen freezes, crashes, and then returns to the main Roku screen. When I go back to the Criterion Channel it doesn't recognize me. I can't log in so I have to go through the whole process again setting up the Roku. Ten minutes later I was able to watch the last 5 minutes. What a pain. Seems like the Criterion Channel is a little buggy. This isn't the first issue I've had.

Here is my wishlist which I honestly can't see happening soon but hope to God that they do...

After Hours
Come and See
Dersu Uzala
Hard Eight as well as every other Paul Thomas Anderson film
Lars Von Trier's E Trilogy
Lars Von Trier's Riget (The Kingdom)
Dogville
Irreversible
Happiness
Beau Travail
35 Shots of Rum
Eyes Wide Shut
Fear X

etc...

Irreversible, Dogville, Happiness and Lars Von Trier's E Trilogy would be a dream come true for me. My current Criterion wishlist:

25th Hour
Blind Beast (1969)
Cemetery Man (Dellamorte Dellamore)
The City of Lost Childern (I don't trust Sony with it after how bad the 20th Anniversary Blu-Ray was)
The Day the Earth Stood Still (1951)
Dogville
Drugstore Cowboy
Drunken Master
The Elephant Man
El Toppo
The Fly (1986)
Gummo
Holy Mountain
Irreversible
Kafka
Memories of Murder
Network
One-Armed Swordsman trilogy
Pi
Pink Floyd: The Wall
A Scanner Darkly
Singapore Sling
Tropic of Cancer
Under the Flag of the Rising Sun
Waking Life
