RE: Inland Empire - I've only seen the film once, several years ago via the German BD set. I don't remember anything about it except for some rabbits and possibly a Persona-esque moment where you witness the crew directing the film (not entirely sure about this latter moment).

I like Lynch a lot. I actually rewatched Lost Highway last night for the first time in years. While I enjoy it and find it to be both creepy and thought-provoking, it's nowhere near his best. Mulholland Drive (which builds off several of the themes in LH) and the entirety of Twin Peaks (including FWWM) are untouchable works for me.

What are the chances David Lynch directs another film someday? I'm guessing he retired from filmmaking. Though he's already given us so much, I'd faint if he made one more film.

He might have a project with Laura Dern, but nobody knows if it'd be a film or something else.

Not that it's needed per say, but I'm genuinely curious if Twin Peaks will return once more for a definitive conclusion.

Right now I am horribly behind on my backlog. With baseball season I am barely finishing the new stuff I buy let alone what I record on TCM these days. I'm trying to limit myself to just stuff I haven't seen or stuff that has a recent BluRay release

There's still the extras and packaging. That's going to be worth waiting for.

We don't even know for sure what movies are in it. This leak only gave us price.

Extras and transfer details are the stuff I’m most excited for.

We know the runtime is 1295 minutes from the listing.

If it’s called The Showa Era, then that’s a definitive period of films.

The major things to really find out is whether it includes King Kong vs Godzilla, Rodan, and/or War of the Gargantuas. Criterion has the latter 2 on their channel. There hasn't been any indication of them acquiring King Kong vs Godzilla. And I suppose there's a remote possibility they might keep the original Gojira separately, but I don't see that happening.

Yes, but you are assuming from a detail-less preorder page that all that info is correct. We don't know if it includes all the Godzilla films from that period or if it merely includes some of them, different versions, etc.
