I'll have to have that Zeman collection even though it means a double dip for the Baron Munchausen film. I'm not sure that Criterion will improve on the excellent Second Run release of that - but it does make for a fantastic set!
Also in for Roma & Antonio Gaudi. |

This should almost always be up-to-date:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_o...ction_releases You just need to click the BD column to have it sorted based on that column, and you'll get all the OOP discs together (since they all get the same designation: Yes†) |

I may get all 5!
The Karel Zeman set is the biggest title for me - these are great, creative visual masterpieces. I'd easily recommend blind buys for this set to anyone who is into art design and they are a marvel to look at. Will upgrade Teorema from the Koch DVD. Still haven't seen Roma so I'm blind buying it. Paris is Burning. Why not? Antonio Gaudi - I have the Criterion DVD just for the Ken Russell short. Will probably upgrade, but didn't care much for the feature itself on hand. |

One of the three Karel Zeman movies is on The Criterion Channel:

I almost bought the DVD of the Gaudi doc and imported the BFI BD release of Teorema a number of times, so I'm definitely interested in picking up these two during a sale event.
Roma may be the most hyped film I've read posts about since I joined this forum, but I still haven't got around to watching it on Netflix. |

It's a great film but it's definitely something you have to be in the right mood for, and I'm not sure how much replay value it would have. Dembe and Liz agree with me.

I tried watching Roma and found it quite boring, but I might not have been in the right mood for it. I’ll give it another shot, as the cinematography was beautiful in black and white.
If it was a 4K disc, I’d get it no question, but as a 1080p, I’ll give the film another shot before considering getting it. |
