For an average of $148.12. Not everyone was buying at the BN sale!

I posted this a few years ago on this thread. I haven't seen all of the films mentioned in the last few pages here, but of the ones I have seen, Dekalog episode 3 is the only one that is straight-up, a film about Christmas. Highly recommended and one of my favorite episodes in the set.

This link cerditing a screening of JANE B PAR AGNES V to Janus Films was posted at the Criterion forum. Maybe the Varda box Criterion is working on will be more along the lines of the Bergman set and not just a Blu-ray upgrade of the 4 Films by Varda set.

It's possible. The screening is part of a larger Varda retrospective, and there's a lot of films included courtesy of Janus.

Received Until The End of The World today and that brings me to 8 2019 releases. I'm still after One Sings The Other Doesn't, Hedwig, 1984, and Japon.

I highly recommend the highly unusual "Blast Of Silence," which follows a hitman around New York City during Christmas. 'Twas released by Criterion in 2008. Would love to see this one get the blu-ray upgrade!

Looking at the shop today and it looks like you can't order the extra BD cases. Is this the case or is this temporary?

With Holiday coming soon I can only imagine a Cary Grant boxset at some point. Though I wish Criterion would get the rights to Arsenic and Old Lace. WB doesn't seem to care about releasing it. Also would like to see Mr. Blandings Builds His Dream House & Bringing up Baby see a Bluray release. Not sure who owns the rights to those.

Criterion retweeted this today, which may bode well for a box set:

I'm very surprised Roman Holiday still hasn't come out on Blu-ray. I know it's Paramount, but if they released other Audrey Hepburn classics like My Fair Lady and Breakfast at Tiffany's, why not this one? I could see Criterion putting that out.

Universal just announced its BD release of Parasite and it's very disappointing to see it's almost a barebones release. I hope we can get a Criterion BD in the near future.

I grabbed it on October 1st from Diabolik and its been one of my favorite Criterion releases. I just finished All Monsters Attack and have been enjoying this set. I hope we can get some other films like Rodan, Varan, King Kong Escapes, The War of the Gargantuas, Atragon, and Frankenstein Conquers the World from Criterion.

With Paramount who knows? The KL Insider I seem to remember did say they would be releasing more of their titles next year so we can only hope Roman Holiday is finally one of those. It's getting super frustrating that this gem isn't on BluRay.

I think the set gets announced in mid January around Fellini's birthday on January 20th. April 2020 release.

I hope so... that would be amazing!

Then for the end of 2020 we can get a Kurosawa set.

If a Fellini and Kurosawa box set come out in the same year I might have to start selling my body parts.
