Just watched Lust, Caution for the first time since it came out and I thought it held up really well. Criterion should do a bluray! It looks like the DVD is still in print from Universal

Gotta agree. It's my favorite Ang Lee film. I'd buy a Criterion Blu-ray.

Ordered...

Three Fantastic Journeys by Karel Zeman - Watched The Fabulous Baron Munchausen on Criterion Channel, enjoyed it
Paris is Burning - Totally blind buy, nothing but good recommendations from friends.
All About My Mother - Liked Almodovar's Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown, this seems to be one of his best.
Teorema - Loved Pasolini's Trilogy of Life, wanted to see more of his films (plus it has Terence Stamp)
Holiday - Can't say no to a classic starring Cary Grant and Katharine Hepburn
Dragon Inn - Liked A Touch of Zen
McCabe & Mrs. Miller - Been wanting to rewatch, also enjoyed seeing more Altman lately
Yi Yi - Loved Edward Yang's Taipei Story (in WCP No. 2) and A Brighter Summer Day

Also got Tanner '88 since it's unlikely a video-based program will be upgraded to Blu-ray and it's election year.

Criterion really should do a definitive Memento release because AFAIK you have to buy more than one version to get all the extras
Totally agree! Criterion should pickup Memento and give us a release with all the consolidated extras we've been asking for.

AFAIK it is OOP.

Default That’s some service!

Just over 24 hours after my two orders were entered, they’re both on their way to me. That’s some ridiculous turn around time, considering just how many people participate in the Flash sales each year. Assuming everything is well packaged, I’m going to be one happy guy in a few days.

There’s a very good possibility I don’t sleep this weekend.

Some quick math:

My first order processed at 12:05 and was order #1768889

My second order processed at 12:26 and was order #1770375

That makes a difference of 1486 orders in a 21 minute span. A little less than 71 orders/min

Impressive indeed!

Is there anybody else out there that has regrets after the sale, on titles you didn't pick up during the sale? I seem to more often than not. This time around, my regret is missing out on the Three Fantastic Journeys set. I never focussed in on it or explored it until after it was no longer available. It seems like something right up my alley, yet I never heard of those films before (other than Munchausen). I'm hoping the special packaging is still available by the next B&N sale in July. (Man, July seems so far away. I might not be able to wait).

I stupidly forgot Old Joy was out and in my rush of ordering titles as quickly as I could before site crash or second thoughts I skipped it!

No regrets really. If I could have the complete Criterion collection I sure would though In the mean time, there are the two flash sales and two Barnes & Noble sales to get me through the year. I always seem to have a list of wants, it can go up or down in size~but there is always a list

No regrets from me, for now.

I pretty much have most anything I want from Criterion right now.

All I used the sale for this time was to catch up two upgrades I had put off for a bit.

I already had the Criterion DVDs of Fassbinder's BRD Trilogy and Spike Lee's "Do the Right Thing", plus I had DtRT on Universal BD, already. So, I didn't bother getting these last summer when they came out, I just waited for a sale, and now I've upgraded these, as well.

I also had just gotten in "Roma" and "Teorema" recently, and I'm getting "Bamboozed" and "The Prince of Tides" in March.

So, I don't have any gnawing feelings, at the moment, LOL.
