The Mirror
The Human Condition
When a Woman Ascends the Stairs
Diary of a Country Priest
The Trial of Joan of Arc
Mouchette

Some of Kieślowski‘s earlier work would would be nice too.

How likely is it that we get Diary of a Country Priest from Criterion? I was quite surprised that they got Army of Shadows back since it's a SC title and Kino Lorber has a deal with them. They got Le Doulos, Bob le flambeur, Un flic and Leon Morin, prêtre, but not AoS for some reason. (The Diary of a Country Priest restoration is gorgeous, own the French release, alas no English subtitles).

The Mirror would be a great addition!

Lots of studios have deals with Studio Canal. Kino was just the first one in.

Have you by chance had a look at the french release of The Trial of Joan of Arc?

I have the Arrow release of The Limits of Control on its way from Amazon UK as part of a bigger order (much better price than the US version) - and this was a blind-buy based purely on reading the review here and on Beaver, and thinking it sounds and looks to be my kind of film. No idea where it might rank in his filmography, though.
I generally have liked all of his films. But I would recommend Only Lovers Left Alive, Mystery Train, Down By Law and Stranger Than Paradise first.

I'm with ya. Hoping for the B&N 50% Off Criterion Sale... but if it doesn't happen, I'll be annoyed and wait 'till November.

Unfortunately not. Been on the verge of getting that and Mouchette from MK2, but I'll patiently wait for a release with English subtitles.

One Bresson I'd love to see Criterion get would be Lancelot du Lac. It has a Japanese release licensed from Gaumont, and I'm pretty sure Gaumont plays ball with Criterion (judging by that Renoir Toni which was released a week or so ago in France).

If you really want style in line with Jarmusch check out Aki Kaurismaki. I am a fan of JJ but Aki takes it to another level and imo makes better films.

The Limits of Control is not bad but I would never recommend it as a starting point unless you plan on watching them all anyway. I think a lot of my appreciation for it comes from knowing the directors work and seeing him try different things.

Hello

I'd like to sell a few of my Region A Criterion blu-rays. I'm located in Europe, any idea, site, where I could post them?

Like kuro sawa just wrote above, Aki Kaurismäki's movies are incredible "companion pieces" to director Jim Jarmusch's work. At one time earlier in their careers, they were directly competing with one another to produce the hippest, coolest indie films on this planet (Aki made a film titled Shadows in Paradise that almost sounds like Jarmusch's Stranger than Paradise).

My only criticism of Aki's work is every film he made tended to be very similar to one another in terms of him sticking with his same trusty actors/actresses, shooting in the same Finnish locations (or similar ones), using familiar themes and motifs he used in previous films, and most of all focusing on the same types of characters (usually downtrodden, down on their luck, wrongfully accused, framed and misfortunate, unscrupulous, homeless, broke, drunk, lonely, depressed, etc.). I loved several of his films though, especially Le Havre, The Man Without a Past, Calamari Union, and Drifting Clouds.

Jarmusch's canon of films are more diverse and dynamic than Kaurismäki's works, which is why he's my choice of the two filmmakers overall. I've been a longtime Jim Jarmusch fan and I could say that the top 5 films of his that I'd introduce to any newbie would be:

Stranger than Paradise
Down by Law
Ghost Dog: The Way of the Samurai
Broken Flowers
Only Lovers Left Alive

After that person watches those 5 essential Jim Jarmusch films, I would introduce them to 5 of his more experimental and unusual films including:

Mystery Train
Night on Earth
Dead Man
Coffee and Cigarettes
The Limits of Control

To round out the list, I'd then recommend that person watch his music/concert films and other newer movies such as:

Year of the Horse
Gimme Danger
Paterson
The Dead Don't Die

Permanent Vacation would be the last film I'd recommend and only to a diehard Jim Jarmusch fan.

1) Facebook marketplace or DVD/Blu-ray buy/sell/trade groups for your country
2) Local eBay equivalent (or ebay.co.uk)
3) Second hand record/film shops. They might not accept region A, but some do if it's some kind of speciality shop that specializes in foreign films etc. There's a few here in Stockholm, not sure about where you live but you could always try to look around on Google Maps.

My one wish for today is Francis Coppola's "One From The Heart".

But I'll also accept a multi-cut set of Terrence Malick's "Voyage of Time".

It makes me mad that Elephant Man could've also been in 4K but for the fact that Criterion didn't just makes it all the more disappointing for me. Nonetheless, I am excited to go ahead and go buy this one as soon as possible alongside all the other Lynch films I haven't bought yet (I don't own any Lynch films or TV shows other than an old Twin Peaks DVD that my father owned but never opened)

Naked City is something I'm excited for! I thought it was a wonderful thriller but nothing that impactful or powerful but very simple and straightforward like how a good noir should be. Would definitely pick this one up.

Also wonderful to hear Martin Scorsese's World Cinema Project is still up and going! Will consider buying the first two sets. The third set will depend entirely on how I feel for the other two sets which have wonderful Asian films like Housemaid and Taipei Story which I highly recommend to anyone.

This month is better than I expected but I hope they pull an even more surprising and fan-pleasing reveal to build up the hype for all the Criterion fans. Still, this month's reveal was great!

UHDs are Region Free. Makes no sense not to import the UK version if you want it so badly.
